Well, seeing as I still have a bra left over from End Of Days, I'll be up for this, hun I kinda feel that I need to make more of my life at the moment and this seems like a good place to start
The Playtex Moonwalk 2004
The walk is in aid of Breast Cancer and is being held on May 15th 2004 - Hyde Park London (start time midnight)
This year I've decided to do it. I'm not going do the full 26 miles but I will do the 13 mile 1/2 marathon. I also don't plan on doing it alone which is where you come in Would anyone like to join me?
We can set up a group page where sponsers can be collected and keep track of what we've raised etc and I was hoping to use the Tangent 21 name as our group name (Stoo & Wo say yes BTW )
I'll need to know ASAP who's up for it 'cos you have to call to register all the names. I was thinking that we should have all names in by Friday Dec 5th then I can give them a call.
Details are still a bit sketchy as of now but the website is here so go look.
I think I should mention that you have to wear a bra to do it (go see some of the great ones people made on the site) and it's not just restricted to women.
So add your name below if you're up for it.

Well I was gonna start off by saying "so long as I'm not the only bloke", but it looks like Whistler's beat me to it anyway. Um, yeah, I've never *done* anything, and I feel I should. So what the hell, count me in.
Just one thing... where it says "power walk", am I gonna be able to get away with a leisurely stroll or am I gonna have to actually get fit? And if it's the latter does anyone want to do some training walks in the lead up to it?

I'm sure a leisurely stroll is acceptable. I wasn't planning on doing a lot beforehand 'cos it's not like a race or anything

If you burn your bra in Hyde Park you'd start a bloody bush fire

I'd love to do it but its smack bang in the middle of my exams too. Is it a weekend? I'll gladly sponsor and if it is a weekend I could probably do it.
Yeah, it's a Saturday.
Hmmm, *scratches non-existent beard, intellectually-like* interesting...

I'm lazy... but this might inspire me not to be quite so sodding lazy for a couple of months. So yeah, put me down for it
I recieved an email today saying that online registration will be available sometime next week so I'll extend the sign up date by a few days until we can register.
I liked this line in the email I recieved:
Team registration is very similar to individual registration, you must each fill in a form and where it asks for a team name, all members of the team must put EXACTLY the same team name and estimated walking time so that you all get the same estimated walking time and we can place the team on our database.
Please can we all fill in 'estimated walking time' - 1 week - hee hee.
Also, I conversation I had with the fella yesterday:
Jazz: You do know how far 13 miles is don't you?
Me: Yeah. Do I look stupid?
Jazz: And you think you can walk it?
Me: I walked on Thursday night didn't I?
Jazz: How far do you think we walked on Thursday night?
Me: I dunno................ 4 miles?
Jazz: It was about a mile & half. Two at the most.
Me: *gulp*
