Post Production Spring 2004

Hi Everyone.

I would like to bring to your attention our spring event Post Production 2004.

Post Production 2004 is an event which will bring you into contact with many actors from TV and film. With this event scheduled for late spring, we aim to not only bring you up close and personal with the stars, but also provide a unique event atmosphere with a number of great extras, including an exclusive trip on the London Eye with some of our guests.

There will be many dealers stalls on hand over the weekend for you to browse and purchase some brilliant memorabilia, and not only will there be guests signing autographs on both days, we will also be featuring interactive displays and much moreÂ…

I will be posting this on numerous message boards so will not be able to reply to any questions on these, however if you wish to get in contact with me my email address is eve.taylor@postproductionevents.co.uk, but the email address we have set up for general event enquiries is info@postproductionevents.co.uk.

We also have numerous email addresses set up for different areas to enable us to answer your questions more clearly and concisely. These will be available on our website, but do feel free to contact me or one of our team at the above addresses.

It is with great regret that we will be cancelling our upcoming event due to some issues that have arisen over the past 24 hours.

We have just been informed by a guest, via their management, that someone has contacted the venue with which we had a verbal agreement, and were getting the written contract finalised within the next week or two, with some doubts as to the integrity of the organisers. Because of this the hiring of the venue is now not possible and it is too close to the event for us to find a suitable replacement in time.

This individual has also telephoned the London Eye to check for bookings we have made for the London Eye flights. We have not yet made any bookings as we were booking capsules as the places filled up. For example, once we had 20 bookings we'd book a capsule. We felt this was the best way to handle matters to prevent us booking more capsules than required. Currently we haven't had sufficent bookings to fill a capsule, which is why there were none booked.

We are very sorry for this disruption to all our attendees, Virginia Hey, David Franklin and Leslie Hope as we were very much looking forward to working with them and welcoming attendees to our first event. If anybody has any concerns please e-mail us using the contact page and we'll get back to you as soon as we are able to. We will also keep the website updated.

Yes it was advertised for the 17th & 18th of April - the same weekend as Memorabilia.

Post Production Events UK- Cancelled, please read below..
The poor organizer has had her business reputation destroyed by an over zealous NUT!!! The poor girl went on holiday and didnt return emails, so a talent promoter presumed that his un answered mail meant that the whole event was a scam!! He contacted the FRAUD SQUAD police(!!!), all dealers, actors, and the event hall and had them all pull out, ruining this poor girl..It wasnt a scam, she was just away. She is ruined! Be warned.. Return your emails!

Thats so sad. Especially considering the bad publicity that cons have been getting recently.

Isn't that just irritating in this day and age when people assume that others spend all day in front of a computer doing nothing but answering emails!

It reminds me of a buyer on ebay who was a bit over zealous and after a day kept sending email after email assuming we were ignoring him

But it does go to show that people are unfortunately becoming paranoid about new organisers and unreturned emails. They must think that organisers don't have real lives or hundreds of other queries

It's hard to say how it would have faired up against Memorabilia as there are so many other outlets for that type of thing now anyway - Film & Comic Con, as well as Collectormania spread throughout the year. But there are so many conventions now it would be so hard to place your well-earned money at more than a few in a year !

Very True! I've seen 8/9 cons that I'd love to attend this year and already i feel a bit overstretched by committing to three of them... Infact I am considering dropping out of one of those anyway.
