My thoughts exactly but apparently he's Travis in Star Trek Enterprise. I don't watch the show so I have no clue as to who he is.

Odd he's been announced since last year as he's in my original post which I've never edited and been on the Expo front page with Connor Trinner (also from Enterprise) for as long as I can remember

AMBER BENSON from Buffy & BENSON Entertainment to attend the London MCM Expo with WORLD WIDE EXCLUSIVE PREMIERE.

James Darren has had to cancel due to work commitments, he hopes to attend the October 2005 London MCM Expo

Bruce Boxleither has also withdrawn from this event as he is moving house!

Working or playing?

Playing - we're normal attendees at this one.

I went yesterday and the queues were huge! Far bigger than I have seen before.
Fortunately we had bought early bird tickets so we managed to get in early before the queues built up inside.

We got our autographs straight away and chatted to Amber Benson (who was lovely!) and got photos of the people we wanted. We then wanted around looking at all the stalls etc.

When we left there was still a huge queue of people waitng to get in!

I went too. Also got early bird! Made a beeline for Mr. Nimoy who, in the end, turned out to be quite disappointing. I was really upset that he cancelled the foto session.
Best bit was chatting to Kevin Sorbo. I got a great foto of him and me holding me tightly! was shaking after the shoot too! I shall treasure this for ever. Tia Carrera said she loved my shoes..cool!
I also have never seen so many people. I think now the sponsorship has started, bigger names will make an appearance. Tis prolly the shape of things too come. I really enjoyed the day.

Hugs! It's been a long time!

Do you mean so many people in attendees or guests? I would have thought it gets just as busy if not busier at Milton Keynes, especially with the general shopping public passing by. In fact they've had some big names at their shows too.

Shame I didn't know you were going beforehand, would have been great to grab a coffee. The only time I "saw" Mr Nimoy was when he announced the Star Wars competition on Sunday. I was reluctant to get an auto because of the non-personalisation, as I like to have my name on 8x10's.

Only got autos done with Robia (on my growing Buffy boxset that was started about 4 years ago!) and with Tia who was an absolute sweetheart.

The area where Robia and Teryl were signing was very misplaced as on Saturday afternoon many people were walking through that way from the entrance and it was a squeeze to get through and you almost didn't realise guests were signing only a couple of feet from you. I would have imagined it would have been better to have the "smiley" desk positioned first rather than hidden back, so that it would be the first thing you walked into (literally! )

I also wondered if there was actually a virtual queuing system in place as it was hard to tell in some places. As I was looking at dealers tables, I rounded a corner and specifically the room was suddenly cut in half with a big queue which we found out was the signing queue for the Enterprise guests.

General feeling was it had gone from a fairly empty hall to be too overcrowded. The dance machine area really needed to be away from other stands as there was no room to watch it Probably up the back or to the side of the hall would have been better as you couldn't see the demonstrations at all.

The Nightwatch cinema thing took up a lot of space, whilst it was a great idea, it was a shame it wasn't a preview of something more family friendly as under 18s weren't allowed in. I drew the straw to sit with my brother whilst everyone else disappeared for over 30 mins.

The talk area was a good idea, but restricted. Unlike last year when you could hear the talk from anywhere in the room without having to sit in front of the guests (which meant you could still browse) This year it was in a corner and the sound actually seemed poorer Also it meant that people were trying to cram into the back of the sealed off area because it really needed twice as much seating. I struggled to stand for the Enterprise talk because it was so crowded and people were juggling for space.

Once the Enterprise talk was over, I managed to grab a vacating seat and spent the best part of the rest of Sunday afternoon in the talk area. Although that was hard to hear over the top of the wrestling and even some of the guests made comments on it whilst they were trying to talk on stage

It would have been better to have the "wrestlers" (or should that be rude bad actors) in a completely separate room as it did cloud the atmosphere a bit. They were inconveniently positioned near the only disabled toilet in the hall and seemed to think they owned the whole corner. It wouldn't surprise me if they were the ones who flooded the toilet which we tried to access towards the end of the afternoon. Which must have made life even harder for people in wheelchairs as the excel centre only had one other accessible loo from what I could make out.

The Anime was a welcome crowd puller though, and the costumes on Sunday (didn't see the fancy dress on Saturday ) were brilliant. Along with the handful of "entertainment" costumes

The only thing I didn't get to (as I went home overnight) was the party. Did anyone at all here bother?
