Little over a decade actually, the first one was early 90s. And the people arguing that there were wobbles in Pluto's and/or Neptune's orbit that could be attributed to another planet were incorrect -- their sums were wrong.

They have been finding these for about 30 years since a physissist argued that an orbit woble showed another gravity force (oject) was out there.
I very much doubt that, the recent confirmation of the size of 2003 UB313 (as mentioned in the article in question) pretty much means the issue is forced -- either Pluto-Charon has to get demoted or 2003 UB313 is named a planet, the latter's more likely than the former IMO if only because (as I was reminded a couple of weeks ago) the chap who discovered Pluto was a good egg in various peoples opinions.
This one will probably be forgotten about just as fast as all the others and wont be changing any school text books.
