Summary: This is the second fanfic I've ever written... it's unfinished, trying to do it chapter by chapter... but I'm fickle... I stop every so often...

Prologue: The Beginning Of The End

It began in the autumn of 2006, The Vampire Slayer, Buffy Summers lost her life to a Master Vampire named Nikoli. Her death spawned the beginning of the end, the legendary vampire slayer was dead, killed by a demon and now the Watchers Council could not stop what was to come. Demons and Vampires alike began to venture from their underground dwellings, becoming bolder with the brutality that they believed in, blood was spilled in a violent fashion on a regular basis. The demons of this world were ready to take the earth that once belonged to them back and they were making this known to mankind in a furious manner.

Mankind was not prepared for this threat, armies were sent to destroy this creatures… some claimed it was an alien invasion and blamed the government for this disaster but the truth was staring the world right in the face and the Watchers Council were powerless to stop it. Slayers came and went, some fought with a tremendous amount of vigour, going out with a bang rather than dying a pitiful death. The tales of these Slayers were added to the stories of many others in ‘The Slayer Chronicles’. This book encompassed the greatest tales of Slayers called from around the world but one girls takes of heroism stood out most of all, the tales of Buffy The Vampire Slayer if this book had fallen into the hands of a person in the 20th century they would have passed it of as mere fiction. Such horrors could not exist on this planet, without more people knowing about them.

Well now the people of Earth knew about the horrors that these girls faced and although soon after the demons emerged from their dwellings their target became the Watchers Council. It took over one hundred years to rid themselves of The Watchers Council but under the influence of Nikoli this deed was accomplished. With The Council Gone there was no one to train the new Slayers, to tell them of their Destiny. Earth was in peril and nothing could stop the carnage, the slaughter. The Governments elite force ‘The Initiative’ were captured and turned or merely used to feed the masses.

This was indeed a dire time the demons were taking over the earth like a plague infesting itself in the very beings of the living, country after country fell to the vampires and the demons it seemed these forces of evil were working together to accomplish one goal, Armageddon. Something had to be done and without a Slayer to thwart these demons there was no hope. The Powers That Be had to step in, using visions to guide the new Slayers on the right path. These special individuals helped slow the demons down and this war was fought for another 327 years, Slayer after Slayer being called forth to protect mankind from this plight, armies were formed and a new order was installed as only a few cities remained, each sitting on it’s very own hellmouth. The days of democracy were gone, now the people decided to return to the ways of the old, a monarchy was formed and the Slayer became it’s Queen. More cities fell until there was one left. This city was California of which a Town named Sunnydale sits on the hellmouth. This hellmouth is protected by a very new Slayer ‘Illyana’.

Known for her passive existence before her calling Illyana was a quiet child and very reluctant to accept her position as queen of those that were left (only a million or so subjects). Not only would she have to make decisions that changed the life of those around her but she had to hold these demons off, she is only one girl against the rest of the world, against this plague.

The Year is now 2434 and Illyanas reign has just begin… let the journey commence.
