Sorry to dissapoint you but the cinema version of the film was released quite a while before Sept 11. So unless they changed the ending the original one had nothing to do with sept 11.

Sword Fish Alternate Endings.
Hi i Recently rented "sword fish" on DVD, it was a very impressive film as ive always been a sucker for a bit of action and controvery, but i was aware that the ending the film was given was geared to play to the Trade Center tragedgy of september the 11th...
another alternate ending featured the good guy winning and donating the money to charitys,
another featured the bad guys winning without the playing to the Spt 11th events,
It brought many debates into my head, what works better a happy ending or a sad ending, very reminisent of the works of orwell does the system win or the individual, i feel a film is alays more powerful if the system wins, but i want to know what you all feel! relate to swordfish if youve seen the endings!

oh.... that does disapoint me, helluva alot of coincidences in it then
the lines of the news reporter were very reminisent of the news on sept the 11th mentioning th attempted bombings of the past etc... gimme a break im new lol

There were rumours that the DVD release would have a different ending or something to be sympathetic to 11/9, I know there *was* some link and some controvercy involved somewhere, but I can't remember what exactly now.. Yup, it made that much of an impression

Personally, I always prefere movies with sad endings, it not only seems more probable but actors are always better at misery and pain than with happiness and joy (yuk! Sickening stuff

well basicaly the ending that was on it was that after they faked the terrorist attack the americans shot down a boat full of middle eastern people as retaliation.... and comments where made about the rebel leader who was suposedly resposible for prior terrorist attacks etc. very similar to the cruise missile strike and ariel bombardment of afgahnistan
