Jay and Silent Bob had me in floods of tears of laughter when I watched it last December. Can't remember laughing as much as I did at that film. And it's a homage to all the other Kevin Smith films which makes it even better.

Oh, and Long Time Dead? Typical stalk 'n' slash material but enjoyable enough

i ended up turning LTD off. It was just annoying. And British?Don't really get that many British slasher movies...i just didn't like it.

I still haven't watched any other Kevin Smith films yet (sacrilige I hear you cry!) and I was told I wouldn't understand J&SB if I hadn't seen anything else.

I'm not sure what there was I wouldn't understand but I was laughing at absolute every point possible. It was the funniest thing I'd seen in a long time

Watch Dogma. it's sooooo good

I must say when I first saw it I was a little disapointed, I thought it coiuld have been so much more, but that said it was still great. What's greater tho is the special features on the region 1 dvd... some of the deleted scenes & different takes & gag reel are so much funnier than anything in the film

Hmmm. Referring to Mark Hamill in that manner kinda suggests you're not of the generation this film is aimed at.

While the rest of Kevin Smith's films can be enjoyed by anyone, a lot of the humour is aimed at generation-xers like myself. If you weren't between 5 and 10 when A New Hope came out, then you can't get just how funny all the 'Jedi mind trick' stuff is in Mall Rats. Or the conversation about the Death Star in Clerks. Or most of Jay and Silent Bob Strikes Back.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying you have to be 30 - 35 to find Kevin Smith funny - but helps to get a lot of the jokes. Especially in Strikes Back. It also helps to not only have seen the four prior films, but to be obsessed with them as the film is littered with in-jokes, some really obscure. But as Peg shows, you don't have to be to enjoy the film.

For me, the list of preference for KS films would probably go: Chasing Amy, Strikes Back, Mall Rats, Dogma, and Clerks. But that's just me.

And Bob, and then Jay, fighting Mark Hamill with bong-light sabres – has to be one of the funniest things I’ve ever seen…

my order would go something like

1) Mallrats
2) Dogma
3) Clerks
4) J&SB strike back
5) Chasing Amy
