Getting tired so won't say much other than it made me jump a lot !!!
Signs *Spoilers*
What did everyone think of Signs?
Personally I thought it was nicely understated and fantastically well observed right up until the last 10 mins, at which point they threw in an Independence Day-esque ending to finish it off quick
Apart from that though I really enjoyed it

i wrote this somewhere else when i saw it when it first came out....
Saw the films Signs with Mel Gibson I enjoyed it and Jacquin I really liked in it him and Mel G worked well together on screen i reckon the only downside was the ended it was quick and weak like the writer put his all into the story but towards the end got bored and just wanted to end it as quickly as possible. Yes there were predictable bits in it but i still enjoyed it.
I saw it on Wednesday and thought it was very good but agree about the ending and that it felt rushed and not in keeping with the suspense of the rest of the film. But, throughout the rest of the film, I felt that the increasing tension and fear was well conveyed and very palpable. Not sure about the whole 'priest losing his faith and needing a reason to find it again' thing. Felt like a rip off of the Exorcist.
Best scene? The news item showing the video of the kid's birthday party in Brazil. It really felt like you were watching a genuine home video and the build of tension was excellent and when the alien strolled across at the end of the pathway it was a genuinely terrifying experience bourne out by the screaming of the kids who saw it and the reaction by Merril (sp?) watching on the TV.
Just got goosebumps again playing that scene back over in my head.

Ok the ending wasn't great but the ending is often the hardest part of a story.
The building up of tension was excellent, when you finally saw them it ruined it a bit. It made me jump a few times
Jauquin(sp) was excellent as Merill and mel was good It was good acting all round.
Oh and if you dont know the Vet guy who killed Mels wife was the Director/Writer M. Night Shyamalan. I havent been dissapointed with any of his films yet
