Red Dragon

MINOR SPOILAGE, I SUPPOSE.
I saw this the other night, and to be honest I didn't really want to, as I have not seen Silence of the Lambs or Hannibal so I didn't have any idea what to expect except cannibalism and Anthony Hopkins.
But... it was actually quite good, the acting was good, the storyline was good, the bits that made you jump or think 'ughhhh' were good also.
The weird 'Tooth Fairy' (can't remember his name) guy was really scary and when he had that reporter was horrible

and the blind lady (can't remember name) was really sweet and it was so nice when he was trying to save her and when he took her to the tiger.
What the rest of you guys think?

I've not seen the film yet but I've read the book, and it was pretty good!

The reporter guy (Annoying little git) gets his lips bitten off in the book and in the climax Dolarhyde gives Graham a nasty injury... (if you've read the book or if it happens in the film you'll know what I'm on about) do these happen in the film, too?

bipolar "Aurgh! Arugh jeeez!! NO! NO NINA! BAD NINA!"

having read the books sometime ago(and Hannibal when it came out) and got Silence and Hannibal on dvd i was really hoping this film would be "WOW!" The original only had "Lector" in it for about 5 minutes and i couldn't get into but this film? Was "WOW!" i wasn't let down in the slightest and loved that Lector was in it SO much more. delicious. oh and Edward Norton Mmmmmmmmmmmmyummy!

also the bits with the lips? yes.
