It's here, It's Disney, It's Grrrrreeeeaaaatttttttttttttt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I honestly thought is was a great movie. Now, I am biased, because I love the ground Disney walks on, I may have all the Annual Movies on video, but I felt Lilo and Stitch was special.

The story line was far wierder than anything Disney has done before, about an alien experiment (stitch) who escapes encarseration and crash lands on Earth. There, while persued by various aliens to recapture him, Stitch, a creature designed to destroy everything he finds, manages to befriend a lonely child in Hawaii, named Lilo.

I did feel my heart ache at many moments in this movie, because it is so sweet and so sad. Ignoring the wierd idea, at the centre of this film is two stories, one a very real and touching tale about a girl who has lost both her parents in a car crash and is now looked after by her sister (Tia Carrer), who is being investigated by Child Care, who think she isn't able to look after her sister. The other is a quest of discovery, for an alien, who has no family, no past, no memeories and who desperatly wants to know where he belongs.

The obvious use of the ugly duckiling story in the film is a great parady for Stitch and there are comedy moments for all. The film is much deeper than any Disney film before, touching on a very real issue about child care and how a little girl doesn't fit in any more, because "people don't know what they can say" after the accident. It's no where near as funny as the Emperor's New Grove, the voice talents aren't as marvellous as Ming Na (Mulan), Jeremy Irons, Robin Williams, the scenery isn't as impressive as Herkules BUT this is a unique and special Disney movie and it would be a shame if you idn't see it.
