ok i really wanan find out what thsi film is, i saw it about a year ago on bbc1. I'd say it was made in the early to mid 90's. its set in the future but everythings te same as it is now except everyone wears little metal headpiece thnigs on their heads to make them less intelligent and crreative to prevent war. But some people whoa re too intelligent it doesn't work very well on, so peopel outside normal society find this boy who is too intelligent and they take him somewhere where they don't wear headpieces but makew sure all other humans do. he falls in love with a girl there and he hates the fact no one else can be creative or intelleigen and tries to free them via tv and some of them take their headpieces off, he then plays music they have never heard and tell them things they never knew to be true. but then when they put them on again forget it all. so then he tries to run away with the girl and they are caught and she has a headpiece put on her again and doesn't remember, then in the end hes put on a talk show and he claims before when he was on tv it was a hoax as hes forced into doing it, he them blows his brains out with a gun. Then at the end the woman he was in love with has children which were his and they ahve tapes of te tv events and they take off their head pieces to watch them. anyway do yuo nkow what its called?
