I thoroughly enjoyed the first one in the same respect as I enjoyed Gone in 60seconds. I'd rather see a good action movie with fast cars than blokes flexing muscles.

Doubtful it'll be one I see at the cinema, but I'll certainly wait my time out to rent it

I thought Vin decided that with XXX and Pitch Black/Riddick, he was all franchised out rather than it being a money thing per se.

Director Rob Cohen has also chosen XXX over 'the one with the fast cars and a bunch of guys pretending not to be gay'.

Nope no sign of the 544bhp 9 year old Supra The paint alone on that orange beast cost over $6000 and it's a real car, not a mock up, but it's only a 12.2 second car, not quite the 10 seconds it was claimed to do (but hey what's 2.2 seconds between friends )

Brian's car in this one is a Mitsubishi Evo VIII - At the time of filming there was only one in the USA, the other 3 cars in the film used in that role are actually dressed up Evo VIIs

Samphirette - the rapper in this one is 'Ludacris'. And yes, the man with STD initials favoured the xXx/Pitch Black franchise along with Rob Cohen so Paul Walker is on his own in this one. I'll be interested to see just how Tyrese Gibson makes up for him though.

And Mon...I'm gutted From the trailer it looked like a Subaru Impreza? Obviously I wasn't paying attention Well..it was midnight last night Although couldn't the Supra do it in 10 seconds with Nos? I've got no probs with the Evo VIII though, it's a worth opponent.

I'm actually up in Scotland next Friday to Tuesday so it comes out the week after that, sorry ELC :/

The car does have the NOS system installed so I'm presuming that its 12.2 second time is with the NOS.

To get a 10 second time is pretty much phenomenal. The Supra is a fantastic car and 500 bhp isn't really even going to overstress then engine on one of those, I've read articles on a couple tuned up to 900 bhp. The orange one is also a show car, not just a racer and has a fair weight of ICE (including a PS1 and a PS2 and costing about $16000 alone!!!) a street racer wouldn't have to haul all that around with it

I love you! A man that likes to talk cars! Also might have something to do with it needing about 3 shots of NOS too

Thats okies I'm not even bothering to go see this movie. Saw the trailer didn't like it, and I think that Paul was wooden in the first one. So its a miss for me.

Seen the Trailer, and it looks BAD. They've gone with the MORE philosophy of making a sequel, which is always a crap idea. More speed, more cars, more danger...yada, boring. I loved the first one by the way.

12.2 seconds is that all?

I used to get a magazine that had american 'funny cars' in them. This particular mag represented all the old classic cars, so the cars featured would be suped-up VW beetles, and old 1930's Gangster style cars. It was not uncommon for some to be running the quarter mile in 8 seconds, and the very, very fast cars would make it in 7. But then these were running huge amounts of NOS, and some wild and wacky racing fuel.

I could well imagine you could get 900BHP from the Supra, seeing as several in Japan have gotten 1000BHP from the Skyline, and remember that is only a 2.6!

Just saw the first film tonight and won't even get involved in all the macho car-talk as it whooshed straight over my head. All i will say is that Paul Walker is gorgeous!.. yum! (Don't get all the fuss about Vin Diesel at all! )
