I think I'd struggle to pick ten genuinely scary movies from that list (hint, Coronation Street wouldn't be one of them) but I'd include:
Ring
The Hitcher
Alien and of course
Jaws (still not big on swimming in the ocean).
No mention whatsoever of what I think is the scariest piece of television ever, the finale of season two of Oz. In just over an hour of drama, there is a crucifixion (of sorts), a blinding through the gouging out of a man's eyes and finally an attack on one of the central characters that leaves him with both arms and both legs broken.

I'm having a "scariest movie moment" right now... I'm watching Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 3 on Sky Movies Premier
I'd have to agree with Syd about Ghostwatch. I remember at the time that the BBC got calls from people who thought it had been real.
And the sound of the wailing cat still gives me goosebumps now.

Is that the one where they go back in time?

Yes it was. I only half watched it (honestly), but it was long enough to recognise the baddie from The Mask Of Zorro as the baddie in this.

Also, I'm worried that you knew which was which!!
