Bad Boys 2 ... more disappointment?
Oh well... having been looking forward to this for a long time, things are not looking good. 
A few choice quotes from the American Press:

Worse than Charlies Angels and Patch Adams thats bad.
But my personal most hated film ever is Rancid Aluminum so is it worse than that.

Bad Boys rocked and me and Len are really looking forward to seeing No2 despite what the critics say..... what do they know anyway

Posted: 15:22 Sep 01 2003 I never watched the original, and i've heard its not bad, but honestly, what did you expect - it's produced by Bruckheimer. He's produced some semi decent stuff early on, but that was when he was teamed up with Don Simpson, after that everything went to the dogs...

Which leads me onto a question. I dont know much about Movie making but I thought its the director who makes all the artistic / creative decisions that should define the film? How come nearly all films produced by Jerry Bruckheimer have the same distinctive mark as though he wrote or directed them? I dont geddit.

Its the producers who are in charge of the big picture as they are the onces taking most of the risks. Thats how I see it anyway im sure Incandenza will correct me since he works in that kind of industry.

Well nobody seems to have actually commented on the movie itself so I thought I would.
Went to the cinema last night to see it and it was brilliant. A good mixture of action and comedy and it was *really* funny. Some of the better gags involve a video store, the dog and the pool, and the hilarious quips during the car chases.
Only gripe is that the ending felt a bit tacked on...the film is about 2hrs long and the last 20 minutes seemed to have been added on the fly...makes the film a touch more unbelievable. Overall though a great shut down the brain and engage laughter movie.

Posted: 10:48 Oct 15 2003 A good example of this would be Con Air; which at first seems like any old Michael Bay film, until to your complete terror, you realise it's done by the guy who did Tomb Raider. Ooh, nasty!
