Why the angry face?? Or was that meant to be a 'go see it or I'll chew your head off' kind of statement..might watch it this afternoon
Runaway Jury - Contains Spoilers (thanks Milky :p )
This was a fantastic fil with John Cusak, Dustin Hoffman and Gene Hackman in. It was a really good watch i thought and definitely worth a trip to the cinema. i'm sure Maffrew will write a review of this at some point, but go see it anyway

Well after bowing to the threat of a beat down by lil_miss (and the fact that Sydney wouldn't watch Paycheck cos she wants to watch it with her boyfriend *sulk*) I saw this last night.
It was...ok..not great but not sleep inducing either. To me it just didn't seem to have the edge it needed to make it a good thriller or action enough to make it suspenseful. Rachel Weisz looked hot though

He's not my boyfriend. And stop sulking - It doesn't suit you

I really enjoyed this film... but then again I love anything to do with courtrooms and jurys and the like. The acting was great but there were so many people in it that I recognised from other films that I was a little distracted by thinking 'what have I seen him/her in before' I really didn't see the ending coming either, but i felt very satisfaied with the conclusion.
Big thumbs up from me
The ending got me a bit a well...it felt like they were trying to do a thriller/drama type of film and that they were *trying* not to make it too far fetched so I thought at first that the verdict would go the bad guys way then realised that the good guys had to win cos the bad guy had to get his comeuppance, I knew they'd end up paying the money and not getting the verdict from the moment they had the confrontation in the toilets.
So we don't have to go see it now we know how it finishes

If your annoyed about the spoiled ending, why not read the book, as it has a different story/ending, albeit similar to the film. Its by John Grisham and has the same title.
I read the book before i heard about it being released as a film. I would also recommend his other books. (should be in book thread as well i know)

I really enjoyed this film.
I've not read the Grisham novel (or any of his novels for that matter) and didn't even know it was a novel, so i was going in seeing it as an original film. And as i saw it, it was pretty good.
The story, based around defence and prosecution teams tampering with juries, was very good. It was well paced, keeping you guessing until near the end. The acting was very good, exactly what you would expect from pros like John Cusack (who is a God, by the way), Gene Hackman and Dustin Hoffman.
