This will be a weekly thread about what films are released on the Friday for the coming week, and also any notable films that are on terrestrial TV in the next week. Hopefully youÂ’ll find it interesting and helpful in deciding what to see

Directed by Bernardo Bertolucci, this film is about a young American who begins a friendship with a brother and sister while studying in Paris in 1968. Set against the backdrop of the student riots of 1968.

But his British tour is cancelled because of his child bride, and he turns to drink as his marriage threatens his career.

Axel Foley returns to Beverly Hills to reunite with his two friends and help them solve a case. Very funny stuff.

Forget Exorcist II - this is the 'official' sequel to the notorious original, and it's a worthy successor. Fifteen years after Regan MacNeil spewed forth her pea-green soup, cop George C Scott is dragged into an ungodly maelstrom at the local psychiatric ward as a series of ritualistic murders rocks Washington.

Farcical comedy about a female FBI agent who reluctantly goes undercover as a contestant on a beauty pageant in a bid to prevent a terrorist group from bombing the event. The hard-nosed cop, who prides herself on her toughness, must discard her trainers and feminise her behaviour if she is to avoid blowing her cover.
Striptease

Starring: Demi Moore, Burt Reynolds
Comedy thriller about a single mother who becomes a stripper in a club in an effort to raise money to regain custody of her child. She finds herself embroiled in the lives of the employees and patrons of the establishment, but one of her admirers, a sleazy conservative congressman, begins to proffer unwanted attentions. Based on Carl Hiaasen's novel.
