Which Trek I wonder. I notice you mentioned Kirk but who's to say it's not something set between Kirk and Picard's era? Or pre Enterprise? Trek is so badly done at the moment and I feel a lot of the blame lies with Berman. One of the best Trek stories I ever read was one written by Shatner which occurs right after Generations. I'd love to see that as a movie. Overall though they've done most of the story's to death. I'd love to see a Starfleet Academy based show but I've no idea where they should go with the movie..perhaps one set in the future where the Federation has been besieged by a new enemy(or even the Borg) and a new and exciting young crew are forced into the fight..

Apart from a few episodes of the next generation where they were first seen the borg are the most rubbish overused bad guys( i blame berman for that).

I thought Berman was getting the sack, shame he hasnt.

The trek universe needs a drastic overhaul starting behind the scenes the problem is the best writers left a long while ago many have their own projects now so not a lot of hope for drawing them back.
