I got it on 'naughty' DVD this week and thought it was pants. Not even in the same league as Monsters Inc or Toy Story.

Shark Tale

Shark Take is the story of Oscar (played by Will Smith), a young fish who thinks he is a nobody and so tries to become a somebody. His method of getting there is a big, honking lie.
When he gets into a pickle with two sharks, one of which inadvertently dies, Oscar becomes The Shark Slayer and uses his newfound fame to great advantage (with many, many mishaps along the way).
Unfortunately, where Finding Nemo was brilliant, Shark Tale is decidedly average. The animation is very good (if you like the art style, which i didn't), and the voice talent is superb. However, the dialogue is mediocre throughout and poor in places. I laughed in places, but certainly not nearly enough.
It'll keep kids greatly amused i'm sure, but for adults, it's not in the same league as Finding Nemo, Shrek 2 and others of the like.

Odd how films come along in pairs, I guess for every Armageddon, there has to be a Deep Impact, and this is it!

I'm meant to be taking the boys to see it sometime this week but if it's not that good their dad can do it at the weekend

Certainly nowhere near Shrek2 but still entertaining enough. And the music isn't too bad either
