Everything that Peter Jackson does interests me! Ever since I first saw Braindead about 12 years ago I've worshipped the ground that he walks on! The man can do no wrong, everything he touches turns to gold, and there is no doubt in my mind that this film is gonna rock! And it's got Jack Black in it too, which just adds to the coolness!
King Kong
This winter will see Peter Jacksons next film after his uber-successful Lord of The Rings Trilogy, it certainly seems to be a labour of love for him, but can he possible hope to repeat his previous success?

The trailer for this looked very interesting visually, but from a story point the Kong story leaves me a bit flat. I'm certainly not as big a fan of Peter Jackson as PoF obviously is, but I did enjoy LotR.
We've only seen a short trailer so far really, so when we see a longer one I expect i'll get a bit more excited about the film.

After one of the greatest film monsters of all time, the bloated Lord of the Rings franchise, collapsed into the cinematic rubble of Retrun of the King, its seems almost poetic Jackson rebuilds himself by making King Kong.
This should get Jackson back to what he was doing so well in Fellowship before he got bogged down in Tolkein's labyrinthine plotting: a simple and spectacular event movie with enjoyable characters and plenty of money shots. The plot's so ridiculous you have to play it absolutely straight, and it looks like they're going to be doing that. The original King Kong's been analysed to death by film studies as representing everything from feminist politics to a fable about slavery, so in light of that, it'll be interesting to see where Jackson goes with it.
But if he just makes a big, silly ape movie, that'll do as well.

im really looking forward to this but firstly because it's colin hanks and jack black working together again (obviously not in the same sense as Orange County) but i want to see if they work well together in a slightly more serious storline.
secondly coz it just looks real good i havent seen the trailer in english yet (i was in italy when i saw it the first 4 times) but i got all excited at the prospect of the remake and i don't like remakes much usually.
