...aaaaaand the director has been announced - a relative newcomer named Neill Blomkamp according to Empire Online.
I was a bit worried that an unknown had been assigned the chair, but then I read that he's got the endorsement of both Peter Jackson and Guillermo Del Toro which says a good deal. Also bear in mind he's the guy responsible for the 'Transformer' Citroen “Alive In Technology†ad - this is why he was originally considered for the Transformers movie before Michael Bay came along.
Thoughts?

With guy is amazing with special effects. He won 3 Clio awards and also won a Visual Effects Society Award for that dancing Citroën commercial. Not to mention he has worked on tv shows like Dark Angel, Smallville, Mercy Point, First Wave and Stargate SG-1.
Yeah its a decent choice, I also expect as a newcomer, Jackson will probably be a bit more hands on that he might have been with an established director.
The Noid This must be that Woodstock place mom and dad are always talking about

Thank the Prophets that Boll has (allegedly) sworn never to do a game adaptation again!
