Okay I realise this isn't really the point of this forum and if this post is not like within the rules or whatever please do delete it, but I was hoping someone might be able to help me with this.
My friend bought me some paid time on LJ, and I really want to put a header up on the top before the time runs out (a few days). I've read loads of tutorials, and asked loads of people (who just direct me to tutorials) but as I have no knowledge of HTML or whatever it uses, I really don't get it and get totally confused.
So would anyone be able to explain simply and maybe even just give me the coding where I can fill in the write links or whatever for where the pic I want as a header would be. Or something. I don't have a clue about it.
So if anyone would be so kind as to help me, I would be really grateful.

I'm not sure how you do it (I imagine LJ has it's own FAQ on the subject)
But you say the journal only has a few days paid time left? The extra features will disappear once that expires anyway as far as I know it'll resort back to the basic allowance.

It depends on what layout you're using. With mine (Digital Multiplex) I don't have the easy option of just adding a link to the banner I'd use in the www.livejournal.com/customize/ part. Whereas in my DJ (http://www.deadjournal.com/users/teresajh) I can just link to it. As far as I know I've never used html to do my layouts. Sorry I've not been much help.....

Thanks all you guys who tried to help, I've actually sorted it now, my friend helped me out.
I'm pretty sure it'll be alright, I think the user pics and stuff revert back, but I think the actual page stays the same. Thanks for warning me anyway though!
