I've just ordered a 3com from dabs only £50 and its wireless and has a free usb thing
Recommendations for new DSL kit?
My current DSL modem/router is starting to get flaky - it's increasing prone to lockups.
Can anyone recommend a good replacement, ideally incorporating a 100Mbps switch/hub and a wireless access point? Reliability probably more important than price.

We've just migrated to ADSL from Cable and we've got an excellent new wi-fi router/modem. It's a Linksys WAG354G Wireless-G access point, it's 802.11b and g compatible, has got a 4 switch hub and so far as been very good.
It was £49.99 from amazon.co.uk

I have a Linksys one, WRT54G I think, and it's always been pretty sweet. They have the advantage they can be reflashed to run Linux (they're already running a custom Linux) if you're that way inclined. Your Milage May Vary however.
Only some versions of the WRT54G's run a custom Linux, some of the newer ones don't anymore though as far as I'm aware (especially the speed booster ones). There is a WRT54GL which is the open source router version of the WRT54G but doesn't come with the speedboost stuff but it does mean you can do pretty neat tricks with your router as there are many open source tools around to make use of the WRT54GL. The WRT54G doesn't have a built in adsl modem so as an all in one it is pretty useless I'm afraid Got the router myself though and it works great very stable (especially in comparison to the wrk54g, which is the wrt54g's little brother which buckled under heavy loads and kept crashing under the loads of a 10mbit Telewest Line which was horribly frustrating).
