Starfury "End of Days" Angel convention
During the weekend of BG/WB Starfury began to sell tickets to convention go-ers only in anticipation for next years Angel convention "End of Days"
Rumoured to be a big Angel event (no guests announced yet) the dates have been given as 2-4 May 2003 with the venue as the Norbreck Castle Hotel in Blackpool

I think it would be wise to say that if you are interested in this one to get in sooner rather than later with your ticket requirements.
I know Blackpool is quite a ways away if you live in the South like me but I had so much fun at this con that I was in no doubt about booking again.
Judging on the amount of interest & the hellish queue I stood in to buy my tickets at BG&WB these are selling like the proverbial hotcakes!

Well Blackpool will be new for me too - I've never been to a convention there - but I suppose for people who want to save money there's the prospect of cheaper hotels within reasonable distance.

Hotel Update for End of Days
In case anyone is actually wondering about the hotel forms there won't be any
For End of Days we are responsible for making our own bookings and according to an e-mail update from Starfury the Norbreck are not taking any bookings until the actual tickets have been sent out in July.
Sean has said that he will give us a list of hotels & B&B's in the area should we a) not get in at the Norbreck or b) decide not to stay in the Norbreck.

That's annoying that there's no hotel forms although I suspect it gives Starfury a rest.
So does anyone has ideas on prices for both hotels and b&b's in the area?

Just to let you guys know that B&B's for the End of Days weekend are getting booked.
I've only just booked ours while I was there for SFX and the B&B's near the Norbreck are filling up fast. Better try and sort something out asap if you haven't done so already

Other reports on the egroup suggest that taxis are quite reasonable for latenight journeys back to hotels a little further out.
Quick rule of thumb for finding a B&B close to the Norbreck. Anything from number 250 or higher, on Queens Promenade, will put you within half a mile of the Norbreck.

i was up in blackpool for sfx last weekend.we stayed at a very reasonable hotel with really nice rooms and breakfast.it was about 10 minute walk from the norbreck with a fish and chip restaurant about 2 minutes away.it was called the windsor and westmorland,sorry havent got the addy to hand but if you type it in to a search box it should appear.

Have booked straight away!
And to all those that partied with us at Eclipse - we plan to outdo ourselves and equal if not better (though it would be hard!) the wild time we had at the Paragon!!!!!

I did have a room reserved at the Norbreck but when they told me they wanted £100 non-refundable deposit I let the room go & went for somewhere else...
I will now be staying at the Mallory, apparently in the same room that Jola used when she was at SFX The owner remembered her when I said that she had recommended their place to me!
So I know that a few of us managed to make it into that place.... anyone else made their bookings yet? I know it still feels ages away but it will be on us before we know it!
