Starfury "End of Days" Angel convention
During the weekend of BG/WB Starfury began to sell tickets to convention go-ers only in anticipation for next years Angel convention "End of Days"
Rumoured to be a big Angel event (no guests announced yet) the dates have been given as 2-4 May 2003 with the venue as the Norbreck Castle Hotel in Blackpool

Perhaps Sean is still waiting for contracts to be signed?
Perhaps Christmas got in the way and people actually took time off?
Perhaps with another what 4 months to go, Sean is keeping us holding on in suspense?

Posted: 11:48 Jan 11 2003 If I remember rightly, originally there were going to be 12 weeks of guest announcements taking you up to xmas and then after that it would depend on how contract discussions with any *extra* guests were going. Meaning the guests would be announced "as and when" any new developments happened.

How come there haven't been any guest announcements for a month
I for one would have been happy with the usual 5 or 6 guest announcements, I think to reach 14 so far with 15 weeks still to go is astounding and beyond the call of duty

Must admit tho, i am still curious as to who else sean is in talks with. seeing how well he's done so far, i'm on the edge of my seat with the 3 other possibles.

o i'm confuse, on the site theres only 10 boxes for the main guests, but wasn't mark lutz annouced and hes not in there

Yes Spike, you are right - Mark Lutz hasn't had a picture put on the starfury listing and I'm not sure why.
I'm sure Sean announced him on the egroup though

At present 1,850 tickets have been sold. The capacity of the venue is 3,000, but I will probably stop selling tickets at 2,500 (at the present rate of ticket sales we will reach that figure in about 6 weeks).

Anyone traveling from the Stanstead area i could bum a lift with?
I'll pay costs, of course.
I'm flexable as to which day i arrive in the UK (Wed the 30th Arpil or Thurs the 1st May) but i wont arrive until about 2.30 in the after noon. there's only 1 flight a day.
Any help is much appriceated

Cat, if you're still having issues with travel but can get as far as Northampton - I'm going early on the Thursday and you're welcome to a lift.
At the moment I'll be driving (NB. Must check out parking costs) and it'll give us some time to catch up seeing as you'll have been away in France

Thanks Y. but after much talking and reviewing of options, i think i'll rent a car. only slightly more expensive than a second flight to manchester and train to blackpool.
plus, if i had to get to you, i'd have to rent a car anyway.
I really appriceate the offer tho
That means i'll be ariving in blackpool quite late tho (only 1 flight a day from my local airport and it gets into stanstead at about 2.30). I'm not sure if anyone else can book into my room instead of me, but if not, you can store your stuff with someone else for a while, right?
we'll need to exchange phone numbers a bit closer (mine will be a french phone see). but i'm sure we canfind a way for you to find me

Update e-mail re ticket sales from Sean's mailing list:-
The event is about 80% sold. I'd be surprised if the event wasn't sold out by mid March; but whatever that state of play on ticket numbers, I will stop accepting bookings on 26th March, and there will not be any tickets on the door.

Here is a provisional schedule of the guest talks for the convention
END OF DAYS. Please note that it is subject to change.
Amy Acker will be arriving at the event Friday evening, and so will
not be taking part in the event until the Saturday (she's coming
direct from her honeymoon).
Clare Kramer may have to leave early Sunday morning due to work
commitments, but this is not certain yet.
Stephanie Romanov will be leaving Sunday afternoon, but the only
thing that she'll miss as a result is the closing ceremony.
At present all advertised guests are still confirmed for the event,
but this is subject to personal and work commitments.
