S3 Events - Buffy Harvest Con - June 2003

S3 Events are holding a Buffy con 20-22 June 2003 and have just announced their first guest.

Bailey Chase who played Graham Miller in S4 & S5 of Buffy.

They haven't updated the website as yet but here is a copy of their e-mail re the update:-

"S3 Events are pleased and excited to announce that Bailey Chase (Graham Miller from Season 4 and Season 5) has confirmed as our first guest for next June's Buffy convention. As well as being first of many guest announcements this will be Baileys first ever convention
appearance in the UK! To find out more information on Bailey please visit his excellent official website at www.baileychase.com

I will be updating the website over the weekend to include Bailey as a guest as well as adding the booking form for those of you who wish to purchase tickets. On a side note we will be unable to take credit card bookings until nearer the end of the year so if you wish to get a low
ticket number to ensure good seats in the main hall as well as being low down for autographs it is advisable to book with either a cheque, money order, postal order or bank draft rather than wait for the credit card facility.

The venue can also now be confirmed as The Paragon hotel in London, which I'm sure those who attended Eclipse are familiar with. We will also be taking bookings for the hotel along with ticket bookings. If this wasn't enough for you look out for more guest announcements very soon

Out of curiousity, how may parents that have children under 5 actually take their child to a convention? (Present company excepted

)

I don't mean to stir the pot here, but IMO I think the organiser is well within their right to make this decision. Much along the same lines as refusing entry to a person for no apparent reason.

Just my opinion though...

Granted I agree with what you are saying to a degree but if I can leave Georgia at home then yes more fun for me

but on the other hand if you can't get a sitter, or a sitter pulls out in the last minute, as lets face it anything can happen what the hell do you do then?

So to be allowed to bring infants IMO is alot friendlier and shows co-operation rather than being blatently told they are not allowed to come

JtB If someone gives you freedom it is not freedom, freedom is something you take for yourself.

As long as Parents are responsibly(ie taking there child out of the main hall if it starts screaming) with their children, as an attendee at conventions I personally dont have a problem with children being there.

But I can understand the organisers point of view as some parents dont behave responsibly and basically let their kids run riot(i've seen it the odd time).

actually this is looking fairly good now maybe i'll try and make this as theres a fair amount of guests i've not met before. erm actually after seeing tickets are Â£90 I don't think i can afford that :eek:

Just a reminder, if you are hoping to go with any friends that you have to sit roughly in ticket order number for this convention. So make sure your friends book at the same time.

There is lots of activity on the S3events yahoo group so you can get feedback from there

But we will be updating the guests here as often as possible.

They've announced Tony Head as the next guest...I'm sooooooooooooo jealous now.

There is NO WAY I'm going to be able to go to this as my student funds are all going on EoD

They have a GREAT line up so far, and it only seems ot be getting better...I want full reports and pics from the people who go !! I need my Tony fix

I checked the web site this morning and it said there was 70 tickets left. I am very tempted. The only thing that puts me off is that I'm working till 9pm on the Friday so I'd miss most of that days events, though I should get there with plenty of party time left!

I guess I need to make my mind up pretty soon...
