Sam & Jola's Summer Party - Sat 26th July

Who's Up For a Party?

Date: Saturday 26th July 2003

Venue: King Charles Hotel, Gillingham, Kent

Reason: Why the hell not?

Jola & myself have decided that we donÂ’t get to see everyone enough in the year. Not everyone can afford the conventions, day events can take a lot of planning for people coming distances. The result - to host a party in a hotel where we can just PARTY!!

We want everyone to have FUN, FUN, FUN! We are hosting this across all the boards and mailing lists that we both use. The only rules are to enjoy yourselves, see old friends and make new friends. And maybe get a little merry along the way

Ticket Price: Â£12.00 per person (which includes ticket entry to the party, and a small buffet)

Dress Code: Whatever rocks your world - PVC, Costume, Normal, Jeans, etc

The party itself takes place between 7pm and 12.45am, but there are afterhours activities for hotel residents

We have negotiated hotel rooms at discount prices but these have to be booked asap.

OK, this might be a bit late, but there's been a slight change of plans for me.

Remember I said about not being able to go? Mate's birthday the same weekend? Well, she's decided to hold the booze up the previous weekend instead. Which means I'll miss Nos, but can now make this...

Am I too late? If not, can someone resend me the email details? I promise to send the moolah asap.

Be glad to have you on board JayJay - payments for tickets aren't too late, although I think you may have missed the reduced rate for the hotel rooms. We're at the hotel tomorrow and we will double check this.

Well, ideally I want a big party room with lots of roomies who like to drink and not to sleep. However, I guess I'm a little late for organizing something like that, so I'll have to take a single on my lonesome.

We need to speak to a specific hotel person on Monday with regards to the costs of the remaining rooms, so stay tuned

Just to let those people know who have paid us so far that your rooms have been allocated with the hotel at the weekend

For those latecomers (and we know there are a few out there), whilst we do have tickets still available, if you still require a hotel room (ie a bed to sleep in and breakfast

) then the following may come as a shocker.

We now have SEVEN rooms left and we really need an indication of payment before Thursday 3rd July - but you'll be pleased to know this is still at the discounted rate of singles Â£30 and doubles/twins Â£36 (including full english breakfast)

The rooms can ONLY be held until Friday 4th in the afternoon. Then the rooms go into open market territory

After these rooms go, there are only a couple of choices.

1. Hope that the other function taking place (a wedding) has rooms left over after a certain date.
2. You personally asking someone who already has a single if they mind extending it into a twin (please take into account that we would have to check with the hotel if they have the twins available to do this)

There is music for all tastes at the party. You only have to visit THIS THREAD to see the kind of thing Ken aka Bloodsucker DJ has been requested for.

Ken visited the venue with us and his response was

So we are ready, the dj is ready, the hotel is expecting us ....... are you ready yet?
