Starfury FUSION Buffy Convention - 30th April - 2nd May 2004
I don't know whether I should be leaving this for Samphirette to post, but what the heck 
Sean has added a little info on another Starfury Buffy con next year for the weekend of the 30th April 2004.
Guests announced so far are Clare Kramer and Elizabeth Anne Allen.
Tickets are going to be available to those going to EoD on Sunday the 4th of May and will go on sale to the general public on June 2nd.

Alot of the conventions are planned well in advance
Also gives us mere mortals a chance to save up to attend.

Well, surely it doesn't matter whether a show has finished as to whether it should have a con. If that was the case, a lot of cons wouldn't take place every year!
And Jola makes a good point about having a whole year in which to save up for the con.
Another plus is that those that attend EoD get first dibs on the tickets for Fusion and get a discount on the full price before they go on general sale

I know I was a bit quick off the mark, but I thought I would get in there and inform peeps ao, if they are not going to End of Days, then they will be ready to purchase tickets as soon as they go on sale to the general public

In fact if a show *is* finished and the stars don't have regular new work, it gives them more of an opportunity to attend a convention.

Well, surely it doesn't matter whether a show has finished as to whether it should have a con. If that was the case, a lot of cons wouldn't take place every year!
For example, the biggest Voyager convention was after Voyager had actually finished as this allowed a bigger majority of the main cast to attend.
And it appears there are already 3 buffy and/or angel events planned next year. So it can't be all over yet for the fans

Hi Guys,
This will probably my last post here for at least a week.
I'm being inundated with phone calls regarding tickets; funny how yu can advertise the hell out of something for 10 months, and people only find out about it the week before!
Of course there is the odd hiccup, this event is just so big, but otherwise everything is going very well considering!
Just to confirm, the registration desk will be open from 6pm until 9pm on the Thursday. Clare and Nicole will also probably be signing Thursday evening as well.
Because we have moved the opening ceremony, we'll keep the
registration desk open until 9pm on the Friday.
Now, I've had a lot of requests regarding FUSION and HYERION.
FUSION will be a big BUFFY event, and maybe cover one or two other cool shows. It will take place at the NORBRECK CASTLE BLACKOOL. We will be aiming for a large guest line up. Tickets will be priced at £75 for adults and £30 for 14 and under, with 7 and under free.
Tickets will be priced at £70 over the weekend of EoD.
HYPERION will be a smaller, friendlier event for fans of ANGEL (Clare will probably be the only non ANGEL guest). It will be at the Thistle Hotel, Heathrow, an tickets will be piced at £85.
There will only be 800 tickets available. Everybody gets an autograph. Everybody who wants a picture gets one. The guests will be able to mingle and party, giving closer interaction for the fans.

Am in the process of convincing parents! They say I'll be doing exams, but I won't be til June.
I've even got teachers to back me up! I'm planning a full on (with evidence of reasons I should go) attack on them before June 2nd

Well the issue is more 'cause of the exams not about being worried about me going to con (as it'll be my 4th, I'm like one of those old conventioneers 'back in my day...' ), so I should be able to convince pretty quick, and we are turning this thread into our own private conversation

Here's an Update from Sean re ticket sales:-
Just to let you all know that we have passed the 700 mark on ticket sales for HYPERION. With only 850 tickets available, I'd be very surprised if there are any left by Thursday afternoon if they continue to sell at the rate they are.
FUSION tickets are selling even faster! We're already past the half way mark on available tickets!
The phone hasn't stopped ringing, I'm stunned by the demand! Guess you all must have had a bit of fun at EoD!
Tickets for both events will be sent out mid-July.

No sooner than you announce somebody, then things go wrong. Such is life!
Just had an e-mail from Iyari's manager informing that she had also committed to another event in the UK, and the contract for that event prevents her from attending STARFURY.
Sorry for the inconvenience, but sadly Iyari will now not be attending.

I was just coming to post that - along with the comment that it looks like the fight for guests has already started.
With a potential 4 Buffy/Angel events within the general gentlemans agreement of 3 months is going to start being a real battle
Now you've just got to hope that the guests you want to see will be at the events that you can afford!
