There is only ONE guest at the moment and that is the one listed in my post above.

You have to appreciate that whilst convention organisers maybe talking to potential guests, it is general policy not to announce actual names UNTIL all contracts are signed and sorted.

Hi All

I am thrilled, to finally be able to announce our venue for 24 The Event, as after months of talk and arrangements the contracts have been sent out.

I can now happily announce that the event will be held at the 4* Heathrow Marriott. This is a brilliant hotel, it's new it has an incredibly suitable convention set up, it has brilliant facilities and it's a relatively small hotel which will allow for an intimate setting. It has a maximum capacity of only 550 people, so you can now also count that as being the maximum amount of tickets to go on sale.

In the next couple of days I will try and scan in the layout of the hotel so all can get a better idea of what to expect. Again like the Moathouse we will not be taking hotel bookings for the short while, but don't worry as they have put a fair amount of rooms aside for us.

I hope this helps a lot of people, and now you can sit back and relax in the knowledge that I should have some guest announcements very soon.

Hi everyone

I must again apologise for my lack of news and absence from the
message board. However with this message I have some unfortunate
news, as it is with great regret that I must unfortunately cancel
both Crashdown and Burn as well as 24 The Event.

There are a few reasons for these cancellations, but the most
pertinent reason, is due to disappointing ticket sales, at the
current rate of sale there is no way that the costs would be covered,
and if it were to run like this the extra money (amounting in the
thousands) would come from my own pocket, and unfortunately I'm not a
rich person, I hope you are understanding about this.

We did try hard to make an awareness of the events especially 24 The
Event, where fliers and posters were handed out at many large events
(more so than Crashdown), but unfortunately the interest has been
less than anticipated, this could be for multiple reasons, from
strong convention competition to the subject matter not being the
usual sci fi.

We will of course be issuing full refunds to everyone who has booked
up, but please be patient, as it will be a process which will be
undertaken over the next coming months. As some of the money has
already been used on non-refundable deposits and therefore some of
the refunds will be coming out of my own pocket, so the overall
refund process will take months rather than weeks. I know there are
still a few of you that never received confirmations, well don't
worry even though you have not received a confirmation you will still
be receiving a refund, everyone who parted with their cash will be
getting a refund.

As for Crashdown, well the website will remain up for a short time,
but the message group will remain up indefinitely, use it to chat
about Smallville, Roswell, 24, past events etc. I will also post
updates on the refund process and how it's progressing.

Don't expect any more events from Crashdown in the near future,
however this is not the end of Crashdown. I have every intention of
running more events, but it will be at a time when I believe the
market is right and I have the time and money to back it up with.

I again apologise for this unfortunate turn of events

I hope that the refunds wont take way too long as I could do with the money to put towards my trip to Canada soon, I am very dissapointed as I was hoping youd get the mian cast, especially kiefer to attend. I realise it isnt your fault and why but if ya would have gotten him then ya would have sold em no probs, trust me when I say that.
Please can you e-mail me at twenty4_madchick@hotmail.com to discuss the ticket refund etc so I know whats going on as my nan had boguht it me as a present too so only fare to her to let her know too.

Thankyou and I hope you can get one organised in the future and don't advertis till ya get kiefer confirmed cos they will so sell then, I know these things hehe, and if so would the people who got the low number tickets be allocated the same number as it is only fare cos next time we might not get the money so quick and wouldnt wanna miss out, least then we know we have secured one and then we cans end money asap?.

You're best bet is to join the Crashdown Conventions Yahoo Group as I know the organiser posts to that - if you go back and read the messages on there he does explain what is happening.
