The website and forums have been down for a few days - I emailed them about this and got this reply:-

we are having major problems with our website and forum, we believe it has been hit by a virus and we are working as hard as we can to get it all up and running again. We hope to have the forum up again today but it has been a nightmare as our previous forum has been wiped out completely so we had no way of letting people know and I would appreciate it if you could pass this message on to as many of our board members that you know.

Everything seems to be running and working ok again now

This seems to be a really cool con, I really wanna go but I too have money issues, not to mention the fact that I'll be starting uni(if I get the grades) and will probably end up missing the first week of classes to go.

Dear attendees and board members,

Phoenix Events would like to announce the following information:

First of all we would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your support and patience with us. It has never been our intention to leave our members without up to date information at any time, but after the
difficulties we have experienced throughout the year (notably the loss of the forums and all of our memberÂ’s details) this has been an increasingly impossible target to meet.

With this in mind we at Phoenix Events have made the decision to move the event to April the 29th -1st of May 2005, there have been many contributing factors that have pushed us into making this decision and we hope that our honesty as to why we have come to this conclusion will help to ease any unrest you may have.

These are a few honest reasons as why we feel we have had to re-organise the event, firstly when we announced Hush the event calendar was more or less free for October, since then two more events have been announced for the
same month leading to the market being over saturated. We consider our line up to be fantastic but as we also promised you another head liner but with these other conventions occurring at the same time this was proving to be difficult and rather than letting you down and not delivering what we had originally promised the idea of moving the event was discussed, this means that we will be able to bring you a second headliner as originally promised.

It has also been decided to make Hush a little more intimate by cutting the attendee numbers by almost half, this means there will now only be 600 hundred tickets available instead of the original 1000 however these are
still banded in the gold, silver and bronze options, we have also included a change of venue, that we consider to be more appropriate for this new layout. We hope that you can understand that this is a huge undertaking on our behalf as we at Phoenix Events only want to give you the best experience for your money and we feel that the only to do this was to change the whole dynamics of what we had already started.

We wholeheartedly apologise for any inconvenience this may cause and we are currently working very hard and more information will be posted as soon as humanly possible, we are just fine tuning the details, crossing the TÂ’s and
dotting the IÂ’s so to speak. We understand that you will have your own concerns and questions regarding this information but would humbly ask that you direct your queries to:

I can understand their reason for moving it as October, particularly Halloween time which not only has conventions but also the general vampire parties. But whilst it's looking busy I'm sure both the main events for that time were announced after Hush ...

Then considering that, for the last 2 years both Starfury and Collectormania have run events over the bank holiday weekend, it seems confusing that they are moving from one busy time to another

As you may now know, The Hush event that was to have starred Anthony Head has now been cancelled. Anthony Head and Julie Caitlan Brown were very disappointed not to be able to attend that event, and because of this, they, along with us at Showmasters would like to offer everyone who paid for a ticket to Hush a FREE ticket to see Anthony, along with Alexis Denisof, at The Watchers talk taking place at Collectormania 7!

Recently a BUFFY convention called HUSH was cancelled prior to taking place.

If you were a ticket holder for this event, and will be attending STARFURY: PRIME, then we will be holding a special private cocktail party on the Friday evening that you are invited too.

I've been chatting with Iyari Limon and Tom Lenk this week (Danny Strong is doing a film so I haven't caught up with him) and they have agreed to attend this cocktail party.

This cocktail party will be exclusively for those who bought a ticket for HUSH.

STARFURY is in no way associated or has any connection with the organisers of HUSH. Attending this cocktail party will not absolve HUSH of any legal obligations to you and should not be seen as an alternative to a refund.
