Just to let people know that the next Slayerfest is featuring two guest stars in Andy Hallett and Julie Benz. The event is being held at 7:30pm Monday 21st June 2004 at the Caxton Theatre, 128 Cleethorpe Road, Grimsby. Tickets cost £15 and can be booked using credit or debit cards by calling 01472 346251 or by calling in person to the Caxton Theatre Ticket Office at Grimmsby Central Library.

Tickets went on sale yesterday and there are now only 75 left so early booking is advised.

Subject: Andy Hallett in hospital

As many fans are aware from internet reports, Andy Hallett was forced to pull out of a convention in the USA this weekend after having been rushed into hospital earlier in the week suffering from severe heart problems.

Andy's illness is a worry to all of us here in the UK and we wish him a speedy recovery. He was released from hospital last week and is currently resting and recuperating in preparation for his visit to the UK for his appearances at a series of conventions. Andy has every intenton of honouring his commitment and appearing over here if it is at all possible.

We await further reports as to Andy's improving health but hope to welcome him with open arms to Slayerfest: Angel Delight on Monday 21st June at the Caxton Theatre.

IF for any reason, Andy's visit is not going ahead I will issue news to this group as soon as I get it and will inform you of our change of plans. The event will still go ahead and will run as advertised.

Fans should not worry at this stage or panic. We simply want to ensure Andy is 100% fit before making any further announcement.

The following statement has been issued by Andy himself on his own website:

"A Letter From Andy (06.05.04)

Hi everyone, thanks for checking up on my new site! I wish I had better news for you at the moment, however I am having a bit of a rough time right now, medically speaking. As you know, it would take a lot for me to miss a scheduled event (ya know what a ham I am...) but I'm unable to fly or travel at the moment. Last week I was hospitalized due to a minor viral infection that was complicated by exhaustion.

This minor problem turned "not so minor" quite quickly and
was causing major problems with my lungs and breathing. I was in the I.C.U. At Cedars-Sinai Medical for the past 5 days under the care of wonderful doctors and nurses who I owe the world to. I am forever grateful for the care, concern, and unbelievable treatment given to me by all of them, but especially Dr. Sourpik Avakian. She was by my
side every step of the way and gave me constant hope and lots of love. Thank you Dr. Avakian for everything...I owe ya one and I love you.

Doctor Avakian and I are both predicting and hoping for a speedy recovery, but I just have to rest, rest, rest, rest, rest, rest (as she says). I am very sorry if I disappointed anyone with my absence from this weekend's event in the Poconos, believe me I'd be there if I could. I promise to make it up to you somehow.

So that's it for now, I'll keep ya posted as time goes on.
Thank you again to the wonderful staff at Cedar's, to my awesome circle of friends who have helped me immensely through this, especially Dayne Johnson, Mark Lutz, Matt Williamson, Dr. Avakian, Janet, Dr. J., Charlie, Reiss, Pat Brady, and my Mom and Dad. I love you guys very much. Oh and sorry to that little nurse I had to cuss out while in
the hospital....I was kinda cranky that day....oops.

So I can only recommend that attendees keep checking this yahoo group for any further updates. I will have a better idea of Andy's movements by the end of this week and hopefully can confirm his appearance with us at Slayerfest.

It is with the deepest regret that I have to announce that Andy Hallett will be unable to appear at Slayerfest. I received a phone call at 7pm to say that owing to Andy's ill health he will be flying back to the States and will not be able to honour his commitmnt too
Slayerfest. A replacement guest is being arranged and will be announced as soon as it is practical to do so. We must state that the event will run and that there WILL be two guests appearing on the night. I hope this does not disappoint fans more than is necessary and hope that Andy is well enough to come and visit us when he next appears in this country.

Just to let people know that Clare Kramer has agreed to step into the breach to replace Andy Hallett at VERY short notice for Slayerfest this Monday.

Also we will be airing exclusive footage from UT Events'
convention "The Crimelords of Sunnydale". This event features everybody's favourite nerd trio of Tom Lenk, Danny Strong and Adam Busch as they were interviewed by the fans at a convention in Belfast. Also featured is a performance by Adam's band Common Rotation. Many thanks to Tom and Dennis for sorting this for us.

Please come and join us as we still intend to have a blast and have LOADS of really excellent prizes as usual including stuff signed by David Boreanaz, Eliza Dushku, Nick Brendan and others!

We also plan to auction off a variety of items of the highest calibre too. Our friends at Fox have sent us a load of dvds to give away too as a part of our raffle. See you there!
