Limp Bizkit - The Morning After
Dude was that a fantastic gig or was that a *fantastic* gig?
We all met up at about 1ish, certain people were already drunk, we walked down to the park and when in.
SlayerSlut and Y got filmed for a tv station called Scuzz, then while we were watching the camera woman asked me if she could film my bag! and i had to say 'My bag should be rock icon of the year'
how cool!
While this was going on T and G were getting us all wrist bands so that we could go intot he front inclosure where the pit was, we were practically next to the stage, it was a great view
After much drinking we sat down to watch a couple of bands, InMe (InYou!) were pretty good and A were fantastic.
Bizkit came on at about 9, their show was amazing, we were well rocking \m/
At one point Fred Durst was standing behind us and we could almost touch him!
There was only 2 downs points of the day, 1 was the idiot people throwing bottles and all sorts of things and 2 was the fact that Bizkit didn;t play Rollin But its ok! Me and Alex did our down macarana (sorry Daryl!
Thanks to everyone that came and made it a fantastic day, was nice to see everyone

T You're cute when you're asleep
G man I never knew you could fly
SlayerSlut A!! A?? A!! A??

Although you wouldn't know it by my lack of piccies (I was a bit of a mong in the evening & erased my whole disk & some cracking piccies ) it was a fab day.
Had a laugh with peeps.
Checked out the cute baldy man doing one of the fair rides with T & giggling inanely whilst hanging upside-down.
Had a cool chat with Stu (that's where I was when I was 'missing' - ahhh! You lu me! )
There were bands at some point.
I remember A rocked.
Limp Bizkit played 'Break Stuff' so I was happy.
Hannah - you so cute *hugs*
All in all a damn good day out

It all kicked off on Friday night when a lot of us (read that as a certain 2 ) Got quite drunk at bipolars place. Thanks a [blot[/b] for putting us up hon, it was just a mondo shame that you couldn't be there.
KT has covered it pretty well, and yes, I didn't know I could fly either, John Woo woulda been proud
Shouts to T, Y, bipolar, slayerslut, Pof, KT, LW and Taz
And fank oooooooooooooo yo bipolar for my 'A' shirt, that is *so* getting worn in the office tomorrow

Had a great day. I've never drunk so much alcohol (and so quickly} before noon. Before I had my sleep ( )I don't remember a great deal. On the bus a car full of teenage boys were trying to get me to flash them - dirty little tykes! I remember buying knickers from the 'dirty knickers' stall (they were clean!) and my sexy pink hat. Laughing at Yvonne who decided that she was gonna be a lesbian, the disgusting toilets, begging the man on the gates for more wristbands for everyone while Hannah was dropping her trousers and later on Hannah flashing the man on the gates so we could sneak out of the closer exit. Looking up mens pink dresses to see what they were packing , nasty looking women with no bras on, the kids jumping over the barriers to get into our area and the knobhead who fell over all our bags and landed flat on his face
Then the day was spoilt by the arrival of Limp Bizkit on stage. Poop! That's all I have to say about them and that's the reason why me, Y & Ethan bailed after 30 mins.
Got back to Kats who we *really* missed and went to bed. Was woke in the night by a phone call telling me that the kids Great Nana had died It was expected to happen this weekend so it was no shock. At least she had the decency to hold on 'til after I saw 'A', who were without a doubt the band of the day *nods*
Hugs to all that were there and a couple of extra ones to some of ya
I did make it to the gig, though it wasn't til 8pm (I had my reasons) so didn't see the support. I did call PoF to see where the guys were but there was not a hope of getting into the 'inner sanctum' by then! I did make it to within a few feet of the barrier though.
Thought The Bizkit were a bit lame to be honest. It was way too quiet and, although I'm sure this new guitarist is great in his own right, he ainÂ’t no Wes Borland Sounded like a tribute band. The new material isn't too promising either. My main problem with it however was the compromised performance for television... I mean Ad breaks! Just as you were getting into it everything goes quiet whilst MTV does commercials. No explanation. No chat to keep the crowd amused. Nada. And how come there weren't any screens relaying the pics? Half the time us in the scrum couldn't see what was happening. When Fred went walkies I had no idea what was going on until he popped up some 5 minutes later about 20 feet in front of me... which was nice...
Having avoided serious physical injury (man, there's some psychoÂ’s out there) I called it quits after the second encore (for the same reasons why I was late).
On the whole I thought it was worth the money I'd paid (£4). Nuff said.
Got home and saw a bit of the repeat on MTV2. Thought it looked a lot better on telly.

It was an incredibly cool day! I was excited as we arrived but when we got the wristbands to get into the front bit you just couldn't wipe the grin off my face! I didn't really pay much attention to most of the support acts, butInMe were cool. And thanks to Hannah for coming into the crowd with me when they played Firefly.
A were fantastic and were indeed the band of the day. As they started their set I thought that I may feel the need to go into the crowd and jump around like an insane fool at some point. And as the opening chords of I Love Lake Tahoe played, I said a quick "I've gotta go!" before running as close to the stage as I could get!
Limp Bizkit were cool too. It was good to hear all the classics. Take a Look Around was awesome and Faith and Break Stuff rocked too. I think everyone was quite incredulous when they left the stage for the last time, after 2 encores, without doing Rollin'. Although it was very disappointing, it was still a cool gig anyway!
Big hugs to all who were there: Katie, Ethan, Yvonne, Teresa, Hannah, Spike, Mandy, Taz. And also to Rally who I didn't see, but spoke to briefly on the phone just before LB came on stage, (although he couldn't really hear me as other people got too excited when they saw his name on my phone ). And last but not least a huuuuuuuge hug to Kat for putting us up and for the presents and just for being incredibly cool!

Got to Finsbury early and watched the sniffer dogs sweeping the gates as well as full bag emptings. By the time we strolled in at 12.30 they didn't seem to be checking as hard and I started wishing I'd at least taken in some bottles of water.
The no cans went out the window as a few stands were selling soft drink cans Also some guy had smuggled in a whole glass litre bottle of Archers!
Bumped into some very drunk people a short while later, I believe a few of them habit this place
Settled onto the grass on the left and listened to the first band who were very bad! The sound setup was awful all the way through the majority of the bands, and to be honest the only time the crowd in general got excited was when it rained and they all reached for umbrellas and coats ... whimps!!
Moved across to the right before the Cooper Temple which were the only saving grace of the supports for me.
From there hubby & I were only a few feet from the pit entrance when at 8.30 they started herding the nearest people into the pit because it looked rather deserted so we strolled in.
I really enjoyed it and woke up for the hour - the ad breaks were a little obscure. There were also many people standing around who'd obviously bought tickets just cause they were cheap (not T & Y honest cause you'd gone by then )
The bottle throwing was getting worse, I had one skim my ear and hit Stuie smack in the stomach. Fred Durst had several miss him by inches as the crowd obviously hadn't got very good aim
But all in all Limp Bizkit did their business and those who enjoyed it moved a lot, threw their hands in the air when they should and generally boo'ed the announcement guy offstage in full force
The only irritating thing was the barriers on the way back forcing us to queue for 40mins with everyone wanting tubes south ... couldn't the local police work out a north and south system? We don't all live in London you know By the time we got to the train station my legs were giving way and I almost crawled up the train steps - we missed one train - and then I couldn't get a seat on the train until Stevenage
Can't say I felt too well when I got home last night, but at least I tried.

Taz where did you go when we lost you?
Ah you should have telephoned me - well before 8pm I was tucked up nicely having a seat in the St John's enclosure and could hear A and the phone at that point.

Well the day started with vodka and coke before 11am (it tastes manky when you've just brushed your teeth, btw *blech*) and continued in much the same vein.
Slayerslut and I drank one shop out of Red Square Cola and started on the beer tent and vodka jellies the minute we got through the gates... though that was after we messed about infront of Scuzz cameras (with Hannah in her pants).
After that it gets a little hazy until the late afternoon when the bands came on. I remember eating chicken and chips, bottlecap nipples, stealing loo roll so I'd have some in the evening and nearly getting pierced. I also remember offering to flash my breastuses for free vodka jellies and forgetting to go back and actually do it.
The rest in brief: Teresa had a sleep 'cos she's not as young as she used to be, Taz deleted loads of fab pics, Alex kept me warm (sorry I stole the covers ), Bipolar was an excellent host as always (even if she couldn't make it to the gig) and I was drinking milk like it was going out of fashion.
Anyway, enough of that crap... where are the pics? Well they're here and for the first time in ages (despite my alcohol intake), I remembered to *actually* take some pics. Enjoy
BTW - T & KT, There are more captions on them now that I've had a chance to edit them properly
{EDIT = I should probably also post a little 'family friendly' warning. As usual T21 people + alcohol + my language = rude pics }

whooo lordy! What a mad day that was, I can't believe how drunk I got so early. Much flashing was to be had on my part, as well as fighting, solo moshing, screaming and crying. Yes, for all those who will enjoy taking the mickey out of me, when Fred went into the crowd I was only a few feet away from him and I sobbed like a little girly!!!!!
Limp Bizkit still rule! The ad breaks sucked big time, but hey, this was an almost free gig, so they have to make some money from somewhere. Good set list, wasn't too bothered about rollin being missed out as i'm still embarrased about turning the song into a nos/con dance!!! I was also going to kill anyone who dared to do the macarena to it!!!!
Thanks to all weekend residents at the house of evil especially Kat oh mistess of evil and hostess with the mostest and all that were at the gig for a great time and a great laugh.
