Nos March 2002 - Morning After the Night at Nos

Wow - so no-one has started this thread off yet then????

Ok - I'll start:-

First off a Happy Birthday to those who celebrated their birthdays last night - hope you all had a good time. Sadly, Len missed the Happy Birthday song but then again we were late in arriving (again!).

The usual hellos:-

Teresa - at least Len forgave you and still let you lick his head

Whistler - Birthday huggles

hope you're not suffering too much from a hangover!

Vix - I'll tell Georgia about her proposal from Ben when I see her later. Do arranged marriages work?

Milky - Yep - indeed Len is a rather large person.

Silver - great to see you back!

Spike - I see you suffered the wrath of Len - your face was a picture - indeed a Kodak moment....

Red - will definitely try and meet up soon - Georgia needs manic Red huggles

Vampire Tigger - thanks for sorting out the stuff for Len - he was well chuffed.

And a big hello to again to Yvonne, Kate, VelvetGlove, Maff, Sange, Rally, Cat, and the S14 crew for organising another good night.

Apologies if I forgot anyone but my head isn't exactly on my shoulders this morning.....

Nutty Bat Not bitter, just twisted

Firstly - aarrrghh!

I was out of my fir tree on Saturday, so apologies if I did anything excessively daft. I think I remember eveything though, and certainly remember seeing a few familiar faces, so hi and thanks to all who tolerated my drunken bletherings - CJL, PoF, Taz, Spike, Ralley, Cat and the rest. A huge thanks for all the hugs too - I really needed them on Saturday!

I knew the night had been a fun one when I noticed people on the tube staring at me, and realised I was still wearing bunny ears! I'm not sure who's they were, but let me know and I'll return them next month! Sorry!!!

Who knows, maybe I'll make it to the pre-meet next time too.

May I firstly thank everyone who made this one of the best Nos nights ever. And thanks for your birthday wishes and drinks. And thanks to all who signed my card. They were *all* very much appreciated.

Anyway, special thanks to....

Red - thanks for all you did for me, hun. The pressies and cake were excellent and you went all out to make it one if the best birthday celebrations ever! *big hugs*

Silver - what can I say?? Mucho respect to having the wantons to go into a sex shop (even if was with Maff

) to buy 'Hannah'. The piccy of you 'blowing her up' had me in stitches for ages!!

Maff - your education just keeps on coming doesn't it, mate? First alcohol, now sex shops

And the Spidey shirt is very cool

Sange - you can beat me at pool anytime, hun. Thanks for helping me celebrate my birthday. The huggles always make it worthwhile

SPIKE - thanks again for the Duran Duran CD. I am listening to it as I type. I'm sure if I listen to it enough I will become a fan

PoF - I think we have proved that Steps and S Club 7 can both co-exist together

Milky - great to finally meet you, mate! Thanks for the Haribo, even if I didn't actually to get eat much of it. And I hope that the poor guy in the petrol station doesn't now need counselling

DJ Billy - many thanks for taking some great piccies of the day! I think you are well and truly T21's official meet photographer!

Vik - glad you could make it, hun. Hope the 'natives' didn't scare you too much

Jola - sorry we didn't get to speak much at Pages but still great to see you and Len again. We must meet up again son. hun

Well, I've never HAD to sleep for a whole day after a NOS before! That's really a new one for me.

Anyhoo, too many people to say 'Hi' to so I'll just say..."HI ALL!!!"

Where to start...

Maybe with Spike, and all that gubbins over the bet. The whole point of making a bet is so that you can WIN THE MONEY! There is therefore no need to feel 'guilty' or to try and give me the money back in further dodgy bets. It was bad enough that I lost the bet in the first place (talk about embarrasing), but all that carrying on just rubbed it in.

And I'm not going to started on that whole 'In Stevenage it's just a phone number' malarkey again. However I do expect updates soon...

Or maybe I should start with the birthday boys, PoF and Whistler. Especially PoF, for yet again joining me for a head-banging-sing-a-long to Linkin Park. Hope you both had a good 'un, although I still don't think that Spike did enough to make up for not getting Steve flowers or anything.

JayJay - I dunno if I should charge or apologise for my behaviour during the 2nd playing of the Macerena

It was, after all, to make up for the disparaging remark you made about my looks (or lack thereof). But I think it was definitely worth a Smirnoff Ice, next time we meet up. Thanks also for making losing at pool so enjoyable.

Slayerfest2k, I doff my cap to you. I thought I had a drinking problem till you showed me that all I needed was a few jugs and my mum's credit card... Hope you got home OK, and I still can't believe that you not only survived the first jug, but the second .. and the third ..

Cat, no, you most certainly did not chew me ear off and it was really good to meet you and to have a good ol' chat.

Hi also to Teresa, and thanks for the sweet remark early on in the night and for saying I was a babe (in years, if not in looks). After just turning thirty, it was just the tonic I needed.

But this post is way too long already, so I'll just finish off with the obligatory list of people I'm too lazy to say more about but who were instrumental in me having a good time at Nos: Rally, Rich, DJ (and thanks for the photo, I'd forgotten all about Dom and the pool cue...), Spike's friend (...), VT, Silver, Maff, Sange and Red. Also to the lassie who's name I've forgotten, but who had the best game of pool I have ever seen (with Slayerfest) and who kindly hid my jacket and bag at Nos for me. Oh yes, and seemed to be very enthusiastic while supplying someone with a 'birthday kiss'... I feel bad for forgetting your name.

And to those I didn't get to talk to, well, not properly, anyway, I hope things are well for you and that we get a chance to talk soon.

Well, my second Nos, and interesting it was too. It was good to finally put faces to names.

Not getting into a long list, just "ta" to everyone, especially my travelling companions for 2 stops on the tube.... poor snogging couple in the corner!!

I think you're all very disturbing...

Of course, I've thought that for the last year or so, but now I can put names to faces!

I can tell I'm going to have to find a quieter place to sit down though - I only caught about half of the last two episodes due to assorted T21 huddles all around me!

Anyway, I now know what at least one of my room shares for Eclipse looks like (hi Cat), and Spike, who looks nowhere near as weird as I expected (you were welcome to the seat - congrats on the lady btw, did she turn up to Nos in the end?). Red, it would appear I've known you for a few months after all, even if I did get confused over your name

And for completeness, hi Teresa, DJ Billy (who is probably doing a runner with my cheque even as we speak) and Claire...

Much fun as usual, but Whistler, make sure your young lady puts some clothes on for her next visit, please?

Okay where do I start..my first ever Nos..also my first ever Meet and it was absolutley brilliant so on with the hellos and thank-yous :-

First up Red - Thank you so much for letting this drunken scotsman sleep on your sofa at such short notice and also for making me feel so welcome and introducing me to everyone. Appreciated it so much *huggles*. Breakfast was great and Abby was a little star..i felt sorry for Spike when she was jumping up and down on him and enjoyed our little pillow fight

Silver - Again major thanks for taking me under your wing on Saturday night..I don't think I'll ever forget that tube journey home

- Hope you enjoyed your birthday mate and also hope you and Hannah have a long and prosperous relationship

VG - Why do I have a memory of standing in front of you and pointing saying "VG...VG..oh my god it's VG.."..guess I was just glad to be able to say hello

Would also like to say hi to Teresa, DJ Billy, Spike, Picture Of Flowers, Slayerfest, Slayerslut, Jola, Len, VT and anyone else I met whose name I may have missed out(drink induced haze has destoyed part of my memory)..It was a great night and one I hope to repeat soon.

Thanks to everyone for making me feel so welcome. I hope to get down again in the next couple of months so look out for more Milky action
