Je suis tres fatiguee!!!!

My goodness its gonna take me a week to recover from this weekend

Well, it was my first proper visit to the big bad city and all in all an enjoyable yet tiring time was had.

Taz's sumation of the weekend pretty much matches mine:

I drank some wine
I scared a foreign bird
I drank some beer
I marvelled at the Transvestite
I drank some bizare pineapple and wiskey concoction Cheers PoF
I slept (a teensey bit)
I had a hangover
I drunk beer
I threw some glittery pink balls
I drank some beer
I played PoF protector til SF's donuts won my affections
I watched the evil twins dance
I ran round trying to shoot people for 20 mins til I realised my gun didn't work
I drank beer

Yey!

Cheers for organising this JayJay I had tonnes of fun
And did you see i didn't make a shirt crack - Aren't I good

ok i had sleep now, as we didn't get any sleep that night and when i got home i was lcked otu for 3 hours so went to sleep on the patio. so anyway yeah well done on a organising a great meet jayjay it was pretty damn good and thanx to everyone for amknig it a good time. and yes sange we rocked on that machine so i'm going out to get a dance mat for my playstation now, i think i can dance

My arm and shoulder were surprisingly pain-free, but after an hour and a half on the coach back to Oxford on Saturday night my legs were feeling pretty stiff! (Note to self: next time get the coach that *doesn't* take the scenic route past Big Ben at half past midnight!)

That wasnt the only chat up line sensei SPIKE taught me and if all else fails i can use his greatest technique to avoid getting turned down - the not talking to the woman i am trying to pull technique cant possibly fail

Right - I don't wish to alarm anyone who was at this meet but...

My cousins have both had chicken pox over the last two weeeks and my sister has spent a lot of time with them. Both my mum and I have been feeling a bit ill over the last couple of days and our symptoms match the early stages of Shingles

Obviously if I have got it then I will have been at my most contagious at the weekend so this is really just a warning to look out for chickenpox or shingle type symtoms.

Yay me! On organizing my first meet without anything going too wrong - despite my beeing late to both of the meeting points I arranged...

Thanks again to everyone who made it, and for not mentioning how bad I sucked in the first game. At which point we were going to rename it the 'Sucking Meet', as we were all so bad, except Normsk who was sickeningly good. Unlike myself and Slayerfest in the second game who were sickenenly spawny. However, I went on to win that game (mainly because Normsk and Sange, after an involuntary name change, swapped games), whereas S<edit>fest ended up losing to Flowers.

Other noteworthy memories - Me and Taz ganging up on initially Spike and then everyone else, at Laser Quest, before she in turn turned on me.
Syd showing her true loyalties by telling Slayerfest that he could beat up Flowers in return for donuts.
Me and Flowers on the dance machine. Me winning on 'I will survive', but getting beat on 'Video Killed The Radio Star' and trounced at 'Word Up'. But ending with us having the .. proverbial .. taken out of us by a bunch of pikey kids.
Slayerfest and Spike on the station. 'Nuff said.
Normsk and his love of curtain rails...
The renaming of Sange on the Bowling screen after she disappeared with Normsk for what seemed an eternity. Not repeatable here for obvious reasons.

Now, missing from the above are White Hart and Prophet. Now, you were both there, and I talked and had a good time with both of you. Yet I can't think of any embarrasing anecdotes about either of you. Now, Prophet wasn't drinking, so I can understand that he was sensible and therefore didn't do anything embarrassing - but what was your excuse White Hart?

Anyway, thanks for all the thanks, it was a pleasure. Thanks again for all of you turning up, I had a great time. But now I'm going to rest. Until week on Saturday when it all starts again, and seems to continue through July and the whole of August...

PS - Just seen Syd's above post, so there goes the 'without anything going too wrong' theory! I'm OK, I think, as I had chicken pox as a kid, but I hope everyone else is OK.

Yeah, i thought that too until i looked it up on the internet - apparently you can't get shingles unless you've had/been exposed to the chickenpox virus in earlier life. Plus you are more likely to manifest it after excessive alcohol consumption

I suspect that the most important thing to remember when putting Sensei SPIKE's teachings into practice is not to do so with a woman you either have to or want to see again or tell your real name to :-D

Very true. I can drink a lot more than most people before I start to embarrass myself. Also, most of you started drinking at midday, and I was a good 4 hours behind you

NHS Direct on chickenpox/shingles is here. My understanding of that is that you don't *catch* shingles, it's a reactivation of the virus from childhood, but if Sydney *does* have shingles, anyone who didn't have chickenpox as a child may well have caught that. I know I was around someone with chickenpox a few months ago and I was fine

Just found this, which confirms what I thought:

To be honest i think my Mum has just overreacted and tried to scare me - i'd imagine i'd be much more ill if i really did have it!

Still keeping an eye out for blisters though

Having in the past diagnosed myself with terminal Meningitis (at Uni) and more recently with foot and mouth disease, I am of course now panicking about every little ache, pain or patch of slightly dry skin.

Oh. And I foundthe worst muscle ache after bowling was in my _left_ shoulder. Is that normal?

Well my kids have all had chicken pox's and I have yet to catch anything from them so I should be ok lol , gonna check with Nancy oops Normsk though

And I still wanna know who's idea it was to name me S oops can't say here

Prophet, I was aware of White Hart's home situation - but I've been drinking for the last 30 years, can hold my liquer all too well, yet have no difficulty making a posterior of myself on a regular occasion.

Although I do that sober as well...

And Sange, I have to put my hand up to the .. rename...
