Pre-Not-Nos Meet? July 13th

OK, while at the bowling meet a few of us were bemoaning not being able to go to Nos next month, due to unforeseen clashes due to the date move (due to Caritas, I presume). Then something very, very strange happened.

I had a good idea (allegedly).

Why not meet at the Lord High Admiral as usual, on Saturday the 13th, say from 1pm onwards? Have a few drinks, play some pool, and all the usual banter. But when it comes to the time when we would normally head off to Pages, we don't. We just continue doing what we were doing already.

This way, those of us who can't make the 6th still get a night out with each other, anyone who is going to Nos but has the following Saturday free as well can join in. And everyone's a winner.

Ok, well location wise 'Zen Lounge' & 'The Cask & Glass' are the easiest to get to from the Admiral.

I'll find out exactly where they are & will let ya know, but I have a feeling 'Zen Lounge' is easiest.

Zen Lounge is in Mayfair so is likely to be very pricey.

The Cask & Glass is just off Oxford Street and is on my route home so I'll try and stop in after work one evening, just to have a quick look at it.

right i'll probably come coz this girl wants to meet me in london so i may meet her for a few hours them come and meet you, unless the fitter one from derby wants to meet me in which case i'll eithe rmeet both or jsut her as shes nicer and i'd have to spend more time with her coz she'd have traveled a lnog way. but i think i'm jsut meeting the one from surrey whos in london and is meeting her mates after our date.

Its kinda like translating franglais ... so bear with me

There's a girl from Surrey who is going into London the day of the meet and Spike wants to meet her. However, there's a better looking girl from Derby and as she's the better of the two and she's going to making more effort to travel further to see him he may ditch the Surrey girl on the day and meet the Derby girl instead. Although there is also the element of he maybe able to cheeky and manage to meet both as the Surrey girl has mates to meet later so he could probably meet her first and then move onto the Derby girl after.

And after that I now worringly believe I understand Spikitis!

Yo, Flowers! Did you ever check out the Cask and Glass?

From the Web site the Zen Lounge did look like it was going to pricey (apparently it's a restaurant as well as a bar), but all the options I posted above looked reasonably do able from the maps I checked.
