I'm up in Sheffield the week before for my graduation, and my sister's letting me hang around for the week, so I can make the meet

Next question is... hows everyone getting here and (roughly) when? Really rather disorganised/confused etc about when to meet so any help would be appreciated (think my e-mail addy should be in the profile).
Also, anyone wanting a bed email me for directions to my house. Figure we can meet at the train station where most people are coming in then go from there.

I'll probably be gettng the train. Any time should be ok. whatever's best for everyone else. not much help i know, but i really don't mind.
Has it been decided what we're doing yet besides drinking? just so i know how much money i can spend between now and then. hehe.

If all goes to plan I'll be arriving in Manchester on the Friday and spending the night in Rockworld with a couple of old Uni mates. So I can meet up with everyone wherever on the Saturday. I will almost certainly be half-dead and may be running late (Rockworld goes on till 7am ) but I know the area pretty well and I have a few people's mobile numbers so I'm sure I'll be able to find you guys.

By the way, if anyone's up for joining me at Rockworld on Friday you're all very welcome. For those who don't know, it's a rock nightclub in the centre of Manchester. It has 3 rooms playing modern stuff, classic stuff and goth-type stuff so it should suit most people's tastes.

erm and when you say the train station - please specify which one... There are two (or three if you count Oxford Road) main stations in Manchester We don't wantt o accidently lose anybody.

Flowers - That sounds like a good night... I could be tempted.

Not to sure how I'm getting there but at this stage it seems likely to be by train getting in at Victoria Station. As to the time for meeting up I'm good for any time that isn't in the morning.

Yeah it would be a good idea to go together really wouldn't it!! I might have Happy with me yet so i'd have to wait for him to finish at work, but that shouldn't be too late!! he might only have training for an hour!! I'll send you a mail about it all but for now we'll say meet on the saturday at Wigan train station say!! possibly via Bolton to get Happy!! BTW i'm going out with him now!! hehe!!

The time of the last train home will be the deciding factor as to if I come on the train or drive.

I usually get into the station thats *not* right in the middle of the shops and have to get the tram in, but I'll find out for sure when that is. (think Victoria...)

We usually meet around lunchtime ish then we have the afternoon and evening and make a day of it, if that helps.

Not got a clue what I'm doing yet exactly, gonna be getting in on the train about lunchtime at some point, not sure what to do about the going home bit though..

Any idea what time things are going to run until?

More likely Picadilly - Victoria is only a couple of hundred yards from the M&S and Triangle end of the main shopping area, besides, I'm not even sure if the trams go out to Victoria. Just thought i'd let you know.

Yes, the trams go from Picadilly and Victoria stations. Not Oxford Road station though. Here's the least confusing map I've found, with tram lines marked on too

Picadilly is the one I got into last time we went and had to call for Julz at the tannoy , and that was from Sheffield..

Oh I remember that! Yeah so did we have to get to Picadilly and then tram it to Victoria? Or did we just walk? (I can't remember *that* bit of it. )

I *think* you came into Victoria, then met me at Picadilly? I seem to remember you telling me you came in at the other station.. Can't remember properly

Aha, if you go via Leeds you get into Picadilly, but if you went from your local one you'd have gotten into Victoria. (Train timetables come in handy )
So, this time, do I get to beat everyone at laserquest again?
