Bring Mark! He's funny, I liked him But let's not go see Harry Potter 'cos he was a bad influence (Yes, I blame it on him even though he wasn't sat next to me )

I have a victim! Bee has agreed to come along with us. Plus she's seen it already so she can lead us all when it comes to the audience participation!
Rocky Horror Meet - Birmingham, Saturday April 5th
Calling all sweet Transvestites from Transexual in Transylvania, wandering lovers and unconventional conventionalists...
On Saturday the 5th of April next year, at the Birmingham Hippodrome, there will be a performance of the Rocky Horror Show, in celebration of the 30th anniversary of the stage show.
And I think T21 should be there.
So, sign up below. Once we have an idea of numbers I'll place a group booking for us. And as others have pointed out in the previous thread, speed is probably of the essence here, as tickets are likely to sell out.
Also, if anyone wants to help with finding a suitable hotel for crashing in, I'd be much obliged.
<edit>In case people miss my later post...
So, I recommend we go for the £14.50 seats, and will make an order for these in just over a weeks time. So, as well as posting here, can people please email me at Jayjay@Jayjay.org.uk to confirm they want to be included in the group booking. I will buy a group set of tickets based on emails recieved by noon on Monday 25th of November. People can be added after that, but I won't be able to guarantee that we'll be able to sit together.</edit>
Are you ready to time warp?

Um... yay! <bounce> Just to say, will be there, and it will be fun. Although I think PoF is being overly kind in thinking I know many responses...

I definately have 1 more, with possibly another 2, should hear from them on Monday.
Happy New Year to each and all. Oh and Merry Yule/Xmas type thingy too, seeing as I wasn't on-line then. If it's not too late, I have me and three others who want to go. Can you e-mail me price & where to send chq and stuff?
Cheers sweety.

OK, I make it that we now have 21 to go, and so can get the tickets at £14.50, once I've confirmed with the theatre that we can increase from 20 to 21 seats. Also, I can think of three people who had initially confirmed but have since suggested they are unsure. Once these three make their minds up, I'll send an email to those who've not yet paid confirming cost and with my address so you can send me lovely cheques. At the same time, I'll post Dan a cheque for everyone minus him and Watcher Girl, so he can go pay at the box office so we get the super super cheap price.
Sounds like a good plan, though it might be easier for us to mug Ishtar directly for the cash
OK now I'm even happier The Memorabilia fair at the NEC is the same weekend so I can nip over there too
Right, Dan the Man has done the deed and the tickets are bought! I'll send an email out to everyone after I get back from lunch.
All I have do now is sort out the Hotel... Oh, and get everyone to cough up...

I guess most hotels are within a reasonable distance.
The Briars Rose that we used for the first site party is quite close to the railway station (in Bennets Hill) and they were nice and comfy. Can't find any website details from them unfortunately though

Ok I'm in Birmingham that weekend for the Memorabilia fair and I *may* be able to come to see Rocky Horror but no promises. If there is a spare ticket then I could be interested but I'll be a last minute decision maker (if that doesn't cause too many probs)
There are potentially two spare tickets, so let me know if you do want one.
Another week and the laterooms will have the right dates.
Although I have found *some* info for the Briar Rose as its now a JDWetherspoons Lodge

The Ibis is the closest for staggering distance to the hippodrome. Some info here. Slightly cheaper than the wetherspoons at the weekend anyway.
