It was coming.... it is now here! - T-Party 2003 - The Return
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to party in Venice? With those beautiful waterways & the er, fragrant atmosphere Well, we can’t take you to Venice for the party this year but we have done the next best thing! Read on for more details…
It is our pleasure to announce details for: T-Party 2003 – The Return! By popular demand the party this year is returning to it's roots, Birmingham.
The Date: Saturday 22nd February 2003
The Venue: James Brindley - for those of you who know Brum, it is on Bridge Street which is just off the busy Broad Street. The Brindley is a fabulous location, with the room we have hired for the party situated right beside the peaceful canal. As long as the weather is dry & not too cold then we can open the patio style sliding doors & spill out onto the tables & benches beside the canal.
There are some pictures of the outside of the Brindley here, some were taken at night & so details don't show up to well, however, take it from us that the place is brilliant!
Prices are normal for Broad Street and to give you a general guide, the prices as at the visit on the 4th November were:
Bottles:
£2.20 to £2.80 Becks, Stella, Miller, Kronenberg
£2.80 Breezers & other alcopops
£8.00 to £10.00 A bottle of wine
£1.75 single short (vodka, gin, etc.)
£2.90 double short
£0.20 mixer
£2.50 small glass of wine
£3.00 large glass of wine
£1.50 to £2.50 shots like Tequilla, Aftershock etc
£1.20 soft drinks (14 fl.oz)
£1.50 J20
We hope to provide some snack like nibbles for the party evening.
The Cost: Don't ask how we have managed it but this year the cost of a ticket to attend the T-Party is only £10 per person, yes you did read that right... a tenner!
The Hotel: The Wharf (Travel Inn)
Room cost is £52.95 per room per night with free parking for limited number of cars. More information about breakfast cost, checking in & out times etc is available in the information email.
As you will see from this map the main hotel is about a 30 yard drunken stagger from the venue. You will need to book your room directly with the hotel for Friday & Saturday night or just Saturday night - your choice More detail in the info email
It would be advantageous if people wanted to share rather than taking a room each but obviously as the beds are double then this is down to individual choice. Further information on how to obtain a room in the hotel will be in the information email.
EDIT - Please email me with your booking reference number as soon as you have booked your room. This will make cancelling unused rooms much easier for us as the hotel and I will have the same details about rooms that have been reserved. We don't want to be cancelling anybody's room by mistake!
Under 18’s: This year, the landlord has agreed that anyone who is at least 15 years old can attend the party, although if anyone under 18 is seen with an alcoholic drink then the party will be stopped & we will be asked to leave. Under 18’s it would be great to see you there but please bear in mind that you will be on soft drinks all night!
Music/DJ: Please post in the T-Party 2003 - The Return - Party Music thread to give us your music preferences. We will try to ensure that all tastes are catered for but please remember that not everyone is into the 'hypno-tech-garbage-funk-rasta' that you are…
If you would like to receive the Information Email which will let you know how to reserve your place at the party & some more information on booking your hotel room then please put your email address below
