I'm another definate not (with reasons quite similar to Jimi)
Nosferatu Night - Saturday 7th February 2004
Nosferatu Night - a long-standing event organised and run by Sector 14 in London.
Place : Pages Bar, Page Street, Westminster, London (Off Vauxhall Bridge Rd, nearest tube stns: Pimlico/Victoria/Westminster)
Time : 5pm - 11pm
Cost : £ 3.00 a ticket, available on the door (unless otherwise specified)
Date : Saturday 7th February (yes, it's an early one this month)
Nosferatu Nights consist of a few chosen new episodes screened around the bar with a raffle each month with some great prizes on offer. Announcements for other Sector 14 events can usually be heard here first too.
When all the videos have been shown the DJ takes over and 'Party Time' begins. General mayhem (some call it dancing!) ensues, until closing time.
For anyone hoping to make your first Nos night, if you need any extra information then post below and any of the usual Nos goers are sure to be able to help
So come on then here's the usual roll call..... who's up for it?

Well, as some of you know, I'm not going now for the foreseeable future for similar reasons.
Damn...
I've unintentionally become the leader of some mass rebellion...
I'll be in the Intrepid if anyone wants me.

No one is the leader of my 'rebellion'. I'd decided some time ago that Nos wasn't the same as it once was and that I wouldn't be going again for a while.

and it's anally retentive people like your goodself that makes the night unbearable (putting it as nicely as possible) . I was merely stating, as a JOKE, that after my post everyone has said they are not going. Sorry to steal your thunder.
You can have "your" rebellion back now.
You can have "your" rebellion back now.
Likewise. But then I've been going to Nos for almost four years so I think I'm qualified enough to judge, in my opinion, how the quality of the evening has changed.

Plus, you don't even know me, so how you can say I'm anally retentive is a bit daft, but still....
You're not stealing my 'thunder' because, if you read my post properly, I was stating I wasn't part of any 'rebellion', hence the quote marks.

PS. Nice joke btw
PPS. I'd be interested to know from any other Nos regulars who post on here whether they feel I have ever made a Nos night 'unbearable'. If so, I will apologise.

Anyway............
So, quite a few T21rs aint going this month.
I remember a while back a few people said they weren't happy with Pages, and the organiser of the Nos nights tried to address these promlems. Not sure if he still reads these boards.
It's a weird one isn't it.
With several Buffy/Angel conventions going on you'd expect there to still be a high demand for a monthly meeting place to bring everyone together. Maybe the club isn't advestising itself enough? I dunno.
In my opinion, the future of any club has to rely on a steady influx of new members, otherwise it just starts to become stale. Don't get me wrong, I always enjoy catching up with my T21 buddies when I'm there, but its always nice to chat to new people, make new friends, and also make new people feel welcome.
I find that venue highly ideal for its location, but I find the staff highly rude and out of order. The last time I was there I asked them what draught lagers they had, and got a tut in return followed by a fed up 'all the ones you can see' reply.
Not the kind of service I expect from a place I spend £3 quid to get into.
So, is it the end of Nos nights? Hard to tell as it's just the start of the year when things are quite. Maybe they need to do a coule of 'special' events that are well advertised, just to get the crowds back in and reinvigorate the club. Maybe they're not bothered, or just getting fed up of it also. I dunno.
I don't think i'll be there on Saturday, cos the Celtic v Hearts game is on the telly, and that is infinately more important to me that Nos is just now (plus, i'll be hopefully seeing everyone at the T21 party anyway).
Cheers for listening to my ramble.

There was a case? did it have Wine or Beer? I personally would prefer the wine if it's up for grabs
/me jumps on the band wagon
I ain't going either!! (ok so I never go but I just wanted to be part of the gang)
Now if we have all quiet finished, I'll just pop the dolls back in the pram and the good people can all get back to erm whatever it was you were doin
Group hug anyone ?

So who is actually going? Anyone at all? I do agree with CJL i think they need something special every now and again, they never have guests or anything anymore. New people would also be good, especially new fit birds.
i'd say its been a while since they had some sort of guest (cor the first nos i ever went to had 4*Mary performing man time flies.)
I don't like going 'cos it annoys me that when I haven't seen people for ages and want to chat, I get people telling me to "Ssssshhhhhhhhhhhh" 'cos they're watching whatever on the screen. It's a Saturday night for God sake. If you want to watch tv stay at home.
i think i'll still go cuz i wanna go nito london and buy some stuff and see whoever is there, DM, Taz, pof you guys are there right?
I'll be there, keeping the T-21 banner flying
I know a few people can't make it money-wise, what with T-party just aroud the corner (2 weeks baby !! :tipsey but i should be on the pre-meet around 1.30/2pm ish should anyone wish to meet me there.
See ya there

I'm definitely there - I've even managed to persuade Len to come as well *shock horror*
I can see people's points of view with not coming due to the boredom factor, atmosphere etc etc but if you have ideas to make the nights better why not let Stuart know? He has a yahoo mailing list sector14@yahoogroups.com post on there and hopefully the Nos Nights will return to what they were before.
My concern is if the attendance continues to drop then there will be no more monthly events.....
