Isn't one requirement that you have to be able to do it in reverse the next day or was that only us
by JimiTheGent
Lord Knows why you want to go to the admiral,
But i can suggest the Dr Stanley Hunter memorial pub crawl?
tis a good 'un, and ends in a pub that is open until 2AM.
There are however, certain requirements that need to be met. Let me know....
Octo-Not-Nos - October 9th
It's time once again for everyone to make their way to London for some drunken fun and frolics. It's time for some Octo-Not-Nos fun!!
Seeing as I'll be down in London this weekend anyway I thought I'd see if we can make a weekend of it.
Meet on the Saturday at the Lord High Admiral, Vauxhall Bridge Rd(Nr Pimlico Tube Station) for 13.00. We'll hang there for a couple of hours while the troops congregate and watch England get beaten at football by Wales Then it'll be off either on a pub crawl, which one of the London based peeps can suggest, or we move to the Steam Engine for some Karaoke hilarity.
So who's up for this?

Arrr...
'tis true... the legend does speak of a pale man and a large dark skinned one that did indeed travel the path backward. They came back from the very edge of the world, telling tales to all and sundry of their travels the night before, tales of womens, and a blonde one promising carnal acts of debauchery and sin. They drank more than the crew of the HMS Belfast on an extended shore leave, smoked more than the opium dens of the far east. T'Was a cold, harsh night and the wind cut through ye like a pick pocket's blade, and was black as the devils heart. the Pale one had the eyes of a wolf, and mouth like a dragon... Smoke pouring from it at all hours. The dark ones hands t'were shovels, scooping up any poultry he cast his saucer eyes over into his mighty maw. Nobody ever saw them again, as they left the Crouch tavern singing the old traditional "We could of been anything that we wanted to be" from The Tale of Bugsy Malone...
Dance moves an' all... A fine dash they cut... Disappearing into the lamp light streets of old London town.
But that is only the legend, i fear the truth was lost... In the mist of time.

Quite a few peeps would probably prefer to do the Steam Engine/Karaoke as it won't cost them as much as a pub crawl, we can get comfortable and people can catch up/chat etc. I'm not bothered either way so we'll decide on the day.

Confirmed at the moment is meet at the Admiral 1pm. We'll stay there till about 6pm and anyone wanting to join the party/find out where we're going can phone/text. We'll decide at the Admiral on the day whether it's Karaoke or the Dr's pub crawl
If we do the Karaoke then Jimi can do the death metal version of "Baby one more time"
ok..so more than likely I will be in attendance
BTW Katiestar- am I on your journal hon? I think I have tried to attach you to mine. But please add me babe.

In a dramatic break with tradition I may be sociable and not-nos on the ninth. Primarily because I'll probably have been made redundant by then & so need a drink or three
Time for the usual Yes & Maybe's post...here's who I gather is going so far. Anyone else is more than welcome and if I've missed you then shout to be added
