Alton Towers/Nottingham meet - 27th/28th Oct
Hi guys
First up, sorry that the last one of these, due for the end of this month, didn’t take off.
We are however definitely planning on having an Alton Towers/non-Alton Towers meet on the weekend before Halloween (Fri 27th and Sat 28th October). As usual, we’ll be going to the park on the Saturday and those who want accommodation can book hotel rooms on the Friday and/or Saturday nights.
This year however there is a difference: we’re holding it in Nottingham. This means that there will be plenty to do outside of AT. There are plenty of pubs, bars, restaurants, rock karaoke places, Hooters (
) and even Rock City, all within staggering distance of the hotel that we’re looking at. In fact, even if you don’t want to go to AT, there’s plenty of stuff to do there during the day too.
Cost:
Park ticket: Around £23 if we can get enough people for a group booking.
Hotel: Details aren’t finalised yet, but it should be around £50-£55 per night for a room that can sleep up to three people.
So if you’re interested please post below. There is absolutely no obligation at this stage. We’re just looking to see if there’s enough potential interest to go ahead with this. So if you’re not sure about the dates or if you’re waiting to find out who else is going before you commit then please post anyway, as it will help us to plan.
We’ll post more details next week, once we’ve finalised things.

I want to go if only to go to Hooters but we get a new timetable in October, so I won't know for a while if i can go or not

Unfortunately, due to the fact that not too many people are able to make it, we're not going to be going ahead with the AT weekend this year.
I'm sorry to the folks who were up for this, but I hope that you understand. We may do separate AT or Rock City things at some point in the future and we'll be sure to let you know when

Trust me Syd, we'll still be going to Notts at some point for the kareoke/Rock City, just on a smaller scale that intended and not as an officially organised T21 meet (ie peeps can arrange their own hotels etc )
Rich & I are just trying to work out the timing and we'll let those know that were interested
