Hotmail accounts deleted if you don't reply to email???
These emails are always flying around ....... blumming rubbish!
As long as you keep your hotmail account active your account WONT be deleted ...... it's just another stupid chain letter.

I don't think an official email would contain as many exclamation marks or type in all capitals. Also any official notifications I get for my hotmails accounts are usually via MSN Announcements.

READ THE PARAGRAPH IF YOU WANT TO KEEP YOUR HOTMAIL ACCOUNT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hotmail would not use this method to see who was using their accounts. Surely if they were concerned about their resources they wouldn't overtax them further by pointless forwarding of this email!

So if you are using your account, please pass this e-mail to every Hotmail user that you can and if you do not pass this letter to anyone we will delete your account.
That certainly isn't in their terms & conditions!

If you do not send this to at least 10 Hotmail members, we will delete your account.
Barbara, I really wouldn't worry about this email at all. Just put it down to being hoaxed from some sad little individual with nothing better to do with their time.
Barbara, if you don't mind too much I'll leave it as this may be useful to another member & save them from perpetuating this hoax.
While we're on the subject, is it true that Hotmail is closing down, or just another one of those rubbish emails you get?
Hotmail's policy on accounts is to close them if you don't sign in for 30 days. You don't have to send anything, just sign in. If you sign in after 30 days, you'll get your account back but all the mails will have been deleted. If you don't sign in for three months then you lose your account totally and the address becomes available for registration again.
If you receive anything from Hotmail regarding changes to this then it will come from Hotmail Member Services and have its own special icon in your inbox.
Hope that helps

Thanks for the info there DJ I use Outlook Express to view my hotmail account & that then puts the official announcements from MSN into their own special folder.
I haven't heard anything about Hotmail closing down, if they were then I am sure that they would have given some sort of announcement to that effect.
