I really can't stand Scott Mills. He's worse than Chris Moyles. At least Moyles is funny, even if it's aimed at the lowest common denominator, but Scott Mills is just trying to be Chris Moyles and failing miserably. He sounds stupid, but not funny stupid. Mark and Lard, Jo Whiley and John Peel are the only ones really worth listening to.
Modern music is rubbish
For the first time in decades, there is not a single UK single in the Billboard top 100 this week.
The boy bands, manufactured groups, Pop Stars and runners up, ex Spice Girls and other one hit wonders dominating the UK music charts have become so culturally specific that they fail to have any impact outside these shores.
Makes you kind of proud. Now if only we could get Sven Goran Eriksson and Ulrika Jonsson to record a cover of 'I Got You Babe' then we would surely have the archetypal modern British pop song.

Such a fantastic song - hope too many people don't adopt it as an anthem tho!

To bring a more positive note to this thread, may I just say that the new Sugababes single is absolutely fantastic.
*see what happens when you put a scouser in a group - instant No.1 *
Yes! Chris Moyles is atrocious and just makes me cringe. Hmm... 'cringe', now that's a wierd word. (One of those that if you say it often enough it sounds really odd.)

I have Mark & Lard on every day. Admittedly I have to run and switch to Radio 4 when Chris Moyles appears, but still, I like Radio 1.
I think I may have strayed from the point there slightly. What was this thread about again?
Have to disagree about that, though. They keep playing it at me at the gym, where I am a captive audience, and it really gets on my nerves.

How did you know?
Actually, I have a strong fondness for 80s music, T'Pau being foremost amongst them. Top that for embarassing.
