Lisa "Left-Eye" Lopez Dies in Car Crash
It has just been announced on breakfast telly that Lisa "Left-Eye" Lopez from the band TLC was killed in a car accident yesterday.
No more details were available, but I'm sure there will be updates later in the day.
A great shame to the music world as she had such a unique talent.
What is happening to todays up and coming music stars being taken away from us at such a young age?

Does the fact that someone has a discovered 'talent' make their death sadder?
I think any young person's death is sad - so much life left to live.
On a seperate but similar note - David Beckham's recent car accident - reports said he was uninjured - the other party was never even mentioned! I hope they are ok too - they are a human being too - no more or less important to me than Mr Beckham.

Hardly a new phenomena ... Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix, John Lennon, Buddy Holly, Richie Valens, Kurt Cobain ... and yet we still can't get Jon Bon Jovi in a helicopter.

oi!!... just don't let Evil Lawyer Chick hear you say that! (sounds suspiciously like a Denis Leary quote )
Apparently Lisa was on holiday in Honduras with several friends when her car crashed, she was the only fatality.
Tragic news. I feel for the other members of TLC, how they must be feeling now

Sad news
I'm so gutted by this. TLC are one of my fave bands and I liked Lisa's collaborations with other artists such as Mel C and Donnell Jones. I was looking forward to hearing more stuff from her solo album and hopefully another TLC album. RIP Lisa
Yup, 'tis sad - one of the few popp-y acts i could tolerate.
But honestly, i don't feel that much. I didn't know her, her music didn't inspire me (although i accept it inspired others) and something that shook me more was when my Brother's Friend Died in a car crash at 19 because i knew them.
I do feel very sorry for her fans, friends and family.

No offence to any board members, but I think it is inappropriate and morally wrong to make jokes about other people you want to die, in the post annoncing Lisa's death to us, please stop it!
On another note, I can't believe it. I never realised she was one of the TLC members, but I do know her from Mel C's song, 'Never Be The Same Again'. I loved that song so much I bought Mel C's 'Norther Star' album, which even today (about two years later), it is still my faviote one.
I can't speak for others, but I will miss her music.

So sad, I really loved her R.I.P Lisa Lopez
And yes FG, some of TLC's music has really inspired me these past few years, so i am personally touched

i prefered her TLC stuff to her solo stuff, much like Aaliyah she was starting to establish herself overseas and who knows how popular she could have been
