Ok Elvis did a hell of a lot to influence so many people as did the beatles and they both sorta changed the way music was going, but i have to say the beatles, i jsut prefer their sound
Beatles or Elvis?
It has come to my attention recently that you cannot be a fan of both Elvis and the Beatles. Everyone chooses one and doesnt like the other.
Is this true for you?
Personally i fall into the Elvis camp, always have. And i hate the beatles, their music is dull, boring and repetative.
So, opinions....

Beatles. I never could understand why anyone would like Elvis. As far as I'm concerned he couldn't even sing very well.
I pick neither. The Beatles are over-rated, not that talented at singing and rubbish beyond years.
Where to begin with Elvis?

No, I don't see the need for a dichotomy here either.
That said, I would have to go with the Beatles, purely because I haven't listened to that much Elvis. On the other hand, I love 'Suspicious Minds', and I think much of the Beatles' stuff (especially Sgt Pepper) is very over-rated. But then you have the White Album and Abbey Road..
So, um, that was kind of an answer wasn't it?

Beatles to me, elvis doesn't have the same listenability *what a word..* as the Beatles, and of course they do come from liverpool
Dan, I fully agree with you, the album is utter cheese in comparison to all the rest (with exception of Lucy in the sky with Diamonds - I still like that one )

I had some odd teenage years influenced by mum where I really grew to love the Beatles - I bought albums and posters and even went to a Paul McCartney concert with my friends.
On the other hand I used to love watching Elvis crooning in his movies.
But I know more about the Beatles than Elvis by far - so its Beatles for me
