i dunno about just one superpowerm that's hard...

I'll cheat and say i'd be a mix of Superman, Spiderman and Wolverine

i'd have my own, spikes that come outta my body that i can climb with and battle evil with and make kebabs with.

To fly.

i can think of no better way to get away from things than a little flight over the city in the evenings. i climb right up to the top of the stairs, and all my cares just drift right into spaceeee

Also, think of the money saved on flights!

Like Cat, I would love to be able to fly. I's always been a dream of mine which is why the only bit of Titanic that made me cry was the flying scene. It was just heaven flying into the sunset.

I'd go for teleportation. Much faster then flying and when used corretly you can simulate flying too
And no more problems with locked doors etc.

After carefull consideration it would have to be -

Batman's ability to look cool in tight black leather.

I think i'd go for Spidey's just for the Web Slinging.
Then again for sheer power i think i'd go for something along the lines of what the Pheonix force could do.

Well something along the lines of "the Power Cosmic" as held by the Silver Surfer would be cool, ie the power of the cosmos. Other comparatives are the Phoenix Force as Wes mentioned or the power that the Beyonder held. Basically enough power to do anything.

But on a more down to earth level, I'd take Wolverine's powers. the Healing Factor that even lets him regenerate lost organs, the advanced senses and the adamantium skeleton and claws, not to mention the incredibly impressive facial hair

Flying, far and away, it would be so peaceful, no need for cars or traffic jams and plus no one could reach you.

Second would be super strength, you'd feel way secure, even walking round London

The shapeshifting would work well for that too. I'd like to be telepathic, so i could read peoples thoughts and know when they are lying to me

i thought about this, and ouldn't decide..i'd have something between telekinsis, telepathic abilities, shapeshifting or flying..maybe all four

'Course, blistering sarcasm and the ability to duff up bad guys would also be an advantage.

Although having seen Spiderman yesterday I'm seized by a sudden desire for web-slinging (though perhaps not the figure-hugging lycra...)

It would have to be spiderman, hes so cool. Venom comes a very close second, then wolverine and spawn. But spidey's will always be the powers id have. or maybe a really powerful jedi, hmm, just thought of that.

Would be great to be able to teleport around the country & to other countries to save the cost/hassles of flights with delays/cancellations & the traffic jams. Not only would it really help my social life but my work life would benefit - ooh I could get out of bed at 8am & teleport up to Sheffield or across to Swansea to be there ready for 9am start

Now... where do I go to get this superpower then..?

I'd go for the Ultra-power that DC's Ultra-Boy has - like Superman but uses his Ultra power on one thing at a time - flight or power or speed - very versatile!

Or The Human Torch - 'Flame On!!!

For versatility, surely the Green Lantern is the way to go.

Pretty similar to the Ultra-power, I guess. Or there's the power of SHAZAM.

Actually, for raw power there's really only the one choice:

Invisibility could be cool, but I always get stuck thinking of the classic superhero marital dynamic of Mr Fantastic and the Invisible Woman.

I may have imagined it, but I'm pretty sure that in at least one of the cartoon versions, when they get their powers, he's all: "I'll call myself Mr Fantastic!" And she says: "And I'll be at your side as the Invisible Woman."

"That's right, hoey; now run alng and make the boys some tea."

Hoo-boy.

Why she stuck with him, I have no idea. The only man in the Marvel universe more tedious than Cyclops and Gambit combined.

Maybe it had something to do with the stretching powers.

Batman's powers would be great, but the problem is you kind of have to work for them. He's one of the best detectives, scientists and martial artists in the world; that entails study. Far easier to be Spider-Man or someone, and just get bitten by a radioactive spider.

Maybe I could drink milk from a cow downwind of Chernobyl and become Milk-Man - terror of the lactose intolerant criminal.

Here's a conundrum: Batman/Spider-Man or Cyclops/Mr Fantastic? Be the really cool guy who _never_ gets laid, or be the prize prat who sleeps with the great-looking superheroine?

My superpower though? Plainly it would have to be an unholy knowledge of comic books. You think this is bad; you should see all the Transformers magazine trivia I've got stashed in my noodle.

I want 2. Flying for obvious reasons and the ability to be invisible I could have so much fun with that and just think you would never have to pay for anything ever again
