The best bit of the whole day, though, was the Teacers Vs Students Footie match. We always kicked their butts

I always wanted to do teachers v students rugby because i hated most of my teachers (as did most of the other students), but they just werent stupid enough

My school held heats for the field events during class time so i used to do the lot to get out of lessons, i was quite good at throwing stuff but less good at jumping.

I really liked sports at school (I dont now) was good at hockey, bad at netball, but gymnastics was my fave Sports day at junior school was great I used to do the 100 m sprint, but always came second to a girl called Helen

I once got hit in the stomach with a rounders bat - ended up being off school for days! Supposedly the boy who done it fancied me (which as a 12 year old had me worried even more!)

Seconded. I usually managed to get out of doing anything, but one year i had to run the 800m. Among the most stomach-churningly embarrasing few minutes of my entire life, limping in waaaaaaay behind the others. I'll walk for miles fairly happily, but never run further than needed to catch the bus (and only if i'm close to begin with!)

instead of a general sports day, we have a rounders tournament between the different classes. The winner of each year plays the next year and the winner of that plays the teachers. This will be my last year My class used to be good, we won the year before last and came 3rd or something last year. This year however, our standards have dropped dramatically. Roll on Wednesday so we can get our asses kicked

Well, it was Sports Day at Joel's school this afternoon, the first one Ray, Hannah and myself have managed to attend, and what a brilliant time we had. It only rained once. Joel was on the Green Team, and they had to compete in a rota, a variety of tasks .. for example, throwing beanbags through a hoop into another hoop, dribbling a ball with a hockey stick into a bucket, crawling under a net with a ball and trying to shoot a hoop with said ball. Joel had a helper with him, but he really enjoyed himself.. and guess what??.. .the Green Team won of all the teams taking part!.. we were so proud!!..

Hannah had a whale of a time being centre of attention too. Given half the chance, i think she would've joined in!

I had easy sports days, on the years I was not excluded from schools I just refused to take part in any sports and yelled till the teachers caved in, then either watched everything with a few other people on top of a hill or went to Mcdonalds or Wimpy (they used to do these really thick milkshakes), then eventually come back and sign the register.
My school took the afternoon register at the end of the day as people would sign it at 2 and go home, I had nver missed a day of school in my life (Except when excluded) but I was so bad at time management that I often ended up spending too long on lunch and being too embarrased to walk into a class late, so I would just turn up at 3.30 to sign the register having been on lunch since one.

Used be be a wiz at the wheelbarrow race - know all the best techniques

And at secondary school was the javelin too
