Condolances on your lack of hair

I've been putting off getting my hair cut for about a decade now, about once a year I have the split ends hacked off which takes off about 3 inches!

You could always act american and sue

I used to have a hairdresser like that. a trim meant 2 1/2 inches!!!!!!! she used to say it was because it was in such bad condition but i know it was because it made her arms ache to lift the hair up to high to trim it. GRRRR! so i found someone else.

I went blonde once, so didnt suit me.

went black for a day before rushing off to the hairdressers to have it bleached out.

had a perm when i was a kid and left looking like a poodle. washed the perm out that day 'cos my hair is already curly. i only wanted i a little tighter, not afro like!

Umm, thats about it for diseaters.

dont worry, it will grow back. in a year you wont notice any difference.

ooooh, i went blue at christmas! Biiiiggggg mistake! I came out Grey

I have kinda blonde/brown hair naturally (well i did have) and we used some of that 12 washes blue hair colour - it looked sooo nice on the packet - but what i failed to think about was that the girl on the packet had black hair to begin with - oops

So for about 2 weeks i had grey hair which was kinda funny really as it was also on my birthday - i was meant to be 15 not 75!

There was the psycho who put layers in my fringe, the auburn dye which came out orange and the Red streaks which within a week faded to pink i dont do pink! Nothing ever goes right with my hair so dont worry about it, it`ll grow back soon anyway! But i`ve gone blondish now with choppy layers and its good...lets see how long it lasts!

My worst was when i got my hair cut in turkey, lets just say that language barrier was a problem, and i wore a lot of hats until it grew back!

Trust me on this one, i have personal experience of just how much worse it could have been than just pink streaks

I have had exactly the same thing happen to me I had really long almost bum lenth hair and the wicked witch at the hairdressers cut it all offbecause she thought it would suit me! (Not)

Anyway that was about 4 years ago and although it's a bit longer again now it's not the same I can barely look at old pictures of me now as I get all upset It takes all of 5 minutes to cut the lot off and YEARS to grow it back!!

Now I have a hairdresser who knows I'm growing it again so only cuts off the bare minimum when I go for a trim and I'll never make the same mistake again!!!!

My visits to the hairdressers are few and far between. It's now past my shoulders again and always in my face, which drives me nuts, but i don't have time to do anything about it...

Never dyed my hair, though i've thought about getting highlights in. Didn't get round to it. I'm a natural blonde and pretty proud of it..

I think the worst thing that happened to me was i got my hair cut really short when i was about 15, 16,.. well i've got a small, roundish face and it just looked ridiculous, and i don't suit hats, so i couldn't even get away with that!

When I had long hair I wrecked a lot of Tshirts getting it bleached (I always used to leave it hanging over the collar of my Tshirt while the bleach was in)

Now I don't have hair I don't have these problems anymore

Now I am worried, I meant to get a haircut today, but am now going tommorow morning, not sure what I want, could turn into a distaster the day before the prom.

I had long hair that i got gut to above my shoulder and I cried when I got home, but I did it twice!!!!

The first time I did it to prove a point that my boyfriend wouldn't notice the change (silly me!!)

Then the second time it was because everyone told me to get it cut short. That was 2 years ago, but it's nearly back at it's original length now

I could have had a hair disaster last night with a dye job, but it turned out lovely (cheers Fred )

Oh, and by the way, your new hair looks fab anyway!!

Mine's too long at the moment, before I shaved off the beard last weekend I looked like a vilain from Miami Vice... or, according to Spike, like the man from Del Monte, for wich I will not quickly forgive him...

awwww Fred hunny. *huggles* That sucks! I'm sure it still looks fab but I know that you won't think so at the moment. I know exactly how it feels. You will remember that may hair used to be really long from when I was at school with Kelly. When I went to Uni I had it cut really short (like posh spice now kinda short) because my boyfriend didn't like my long hair getting in his face. It looked absolutely appauling and really didn't suit me at all.

Since then I've managed to grow it to almost the length it was when I was at school and its now in much better condition as i've stopped dying it at home (Sun-in biggest long term hair disaster ever)

But at least you can console yourself that you didn't do it deliberately coz of a bloke and it shouldn't take too long to grow back to what you consider to be a reasonable length

And Random the beard rocks. (technically that should be 'rocked' shouldn't it) I thought you'd know by now that you don't listen to Spike!

I know just how you feel! My last haircut was an utter disaster - I had a style I loved, asked for a trim and ended up with something completely different!! I burst into tears every time I looked in the mirror for the next three days

That was three months ago - I'm having it cut tomorrow and hopefully they can make something out of it now it's grown back a bit!

My sympathies Fred, haircuts are tricky beasts.
I've been growing mine out for about 4 months now, so its still short enough no one believe's me when i say i'm growing it.

I got a haircut last saturday, my usual girl was ill, so not entirely sure about it and how it will look at the Prom. Ah well.

Never had any really big disasters, although the perm i had for a while wasn't really a good idea. It's imortalised in my graduation picture unfortunately, sort of springing out from under my cap in an alarming fashion

never had a dye disaster really....and i've gone a *lot* of colours
although *never* ever use sun-in EVER, i can't stress this enough!! its awful ruins your hair...
as for hair cuts uhh....fringes are always a bad idea for someone with wavy hair who can't be bothered to straighten it all the time! heh and um...same goes for cuts which need to be straight to look right...
my hair was jsut the longest its ever been (ok so long for me is jsut past shoulder length), and i got it cut to chin length, loved it for a while, but nows its grown out some, i'm pining for my hair back!!
bah but, you only live once, and i plan on doing as many things to my hair as i can! before it falls out
i'm getting it done soon, i wanted to go blonder and dark brown and couldn't decide, sooooo i'm doing both! underneath dark top blonde, like a coffee and cream kinda affair! i hope it looks ok....
