Fancy Dress rocks!!!! But I don't think i've ever had a Bridget Jones moment. However I have gone out far too overdressed for the occasion several times.
My best fancy dress moments have been going to a James Bond Party as 'Q', Going to an Austin Powers party as Mr Bigglesworth pre cryogenic freezing, going to a cross dressing night as Silent Bob (My friend Rachael went as Jay), going to a Halloween Party as Liz Hurley, going to a Blues Brothers party as a Smurf and... oops can't mention that one here I guess you can tell that i like dressing up
ooo having said that there was a 'Britney and Benny' night at my Uni nightclub once that i didn't know about. I was practically the only one there not in school uniform - Still i get to make amends this weekend at School Disco.com

I'm not really a party person I've never really fancy dressed for a party that wasnt a fancy dress party, but once i went to this party which we thought was just a few mates chilling, but when we got there everyone was really glam, and we were just in our jeans.
when i was younger i always went to parties as a punk rocker, me and my best friend sarah looked well good
the last dress up thing i had was at work and my mother went as a goth! charming huh?

At my last works Christmas do the theme wa childrens television.
So I wore normal clothes & took a Sooty puppet with me.
That's about as far as my fancy dress goes.

I quite like being the odd-one-out at a party, it gives me some strange confidence to have something different about me. I managed a barmitzvah recently teaming the black suit with proper black-and-white gangster shoes and white socks (I guess that qualifies as being dressed up for a party that wasnt supposed to be fancy dress).
Got a few comments but more chuckles, and I felt really great all night with something to spark a conversation with people rather than shrinking into some corner or another.

I have to confess that last time i went to a goth club i kept referring to my outfit as a 'costume' because to me it felt a lot like dressing up!
