A question I would like to ask you all
Can someone please tell me what weird is, and what makes a person weird?
Because I have been told that I am a weird person, and I don't know whether to take it as a compliment or not.
What is normal, if I am weird?

Normal: Conforming to what your peers expect, wearing and saying what everyone else is, trying desperately not to stand out, getting a job/mortgage/married/kids because .. well .. it was time to, dead-end jobs/relationships that you never liked from the beginning but took because everyone told you it was time to settle down, and can't leave because you don't know what else to do, and change scares the almighty out of you. Normal is being too scared to have an opinion of your own, or to stand out, in case you get it wrong.
Weird is everything normal isn't. Weird is having your own opinion and being prepared to stand by it. Weird is taking life by your teeth like some bone and sucking it for every last piece of marrow you can find. Weird is not being afraid of being wrong. You don't have to have purple hair, or wear only black to be weird ('though it helps
). And you can look respectable, have a steady job and mortgage and the rest and still be weird. Weird is a state of mind, not a fashion accessory. And weird rocks.
I'm also quite fond of freak as well.

Normal is generally what society deems acceptable, weird being anything slightly off this description!! Personally, regular society sucks!! big time!!
as long as you stay true to yourself then you shouldn't care what anyone calls you!!
