Recycling your inkjet cartridges
Rather than throw your used inkjet cartridges away when they are empty why not recycle them by sending them to Tommys?
Tommys is a baby charity which funds a nationwide programme of medical research, information and education to find out why so many babies are lost through premature birth, miscarriage and stillborn By sending in your empty cartridges you are not only adding to the £100,000 already read raised to save tiny lives but also helping the environment too.
The cartridges what they are collecting are Hewlett Packard, Lexmark and Canon BC01/02/05/06/20/BX2/BX3. Please do not send any other cartridges.
To order the recycling bags call 0800 435576 quoting “tommys” or e.mail tommysbags@inkagain.co.uk Maybe request a couple extra for your family and/or co workers

Great suggestion.
I'll mention it at work tomorrow, all our printers are HP. So if we don't already recycle we can start.

You can also buy the recycled cartridges to help the charity. we buy ours through Viking but their must be other places to buy them.
Thye're pretty good value too in comparision ot the "official" cartitdges so everyone's a winner.

Epson go to great lengths to make sure that their cartridges are not recyclable.
I'll try to remember this the next time ours runs out (we hardly use the printer!)
The one at work goes through cartridges quickly - but of course it had to be an Epson
